AAaackk…My girl Allison stunk! Was it just me? And the judges liked it.
Well, he’s a weird looking guide anyway, but his hair is really weird tonight. The part in front is too long.
Oh, save us all. “Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves” means someone’s going to sing that horrid Bryan Adams song, doesn’t it? Anoop, don’t do it!
Nah, RH… I wasn’t blown away by it, especially since she dodged the high notes (the only worthwhile part of that dreadful song).
CC says she was saying ‘baby’, but I also heard ‘boy.’ Chalk it up to the speech impediment.
I liked Allison’s performance.
Why does Simon scratch his eyes, nose or whatever with his right middle finger? Channeling Seinfeld and George Costanza?
Ok, so I’ve missed basically all of this season. It’s very odd to come in this late, with no preconceived notions of favorites, or knowing if someone is just having an bad night.
Allison: is that her real hair? Why? She looks very much like the old troll dolls, and that hair is seriously not helping. Singing a ‘boy’ song isn’t a bad thing, wimping out of jumping the octave kinda is, and is she always this asthmatic? I can sing along to Steven Tyler on the radio too, but I don’t think that makes me a good singer.
Cute enough, but entirely unimpressive vocals.
Just because QT is on, I think it would be cool if someone did “Stuck in the Middle With You.”
That must be it… I confess that I’ve always found him strangely appealing, so it’s throwing me to be kinda ‘uhhh. meh?’ about seeing him.
I have no feeling whatsoever for that Aersomith song. Last season Paul described it as “certainly one of the greatest songs ever,” though.
I wonder if anyone will do a song that doesn’t suck?
Quentin, dear heart, there is NO improving on this dreck. Thanks for trying, though!
That would be Paula and Kara. Jokers to left of me, Clowns to Right.
They never listen to me.
It was suggested last week that she has vocal cord issues (nodes, IIRC?)- I still say it sounds like she’s a 5-pack-a-day smoker.
That song blows, but Anoop did it better than the original. I may have to DL the full studio version to hear him do the bridge–I was really hoping he’d do that.
Looks like you called this one.
So much eh in this performance. Ooh, fancy phrasing in the pre-chorus. Competent performance of a boring song.
Anoop has a pretty-sounding voice, very good control too. Very muppet-like eyebrows, that’s a bit distracting.
The song is dreck, but I bet it worked great for the tweeners it was intended to reach.
I really like Anoop.
I thought Anoop was awful
Have the tween girls figured out that they have a lot in common with Adam yet? 'Cause it’s funny to see them fall all over themselves.
