We’re down to four. Will Adam be Daughtry’d and sent home tomorrow?
VotefortheWorst is reporting that Kara Dioguardi will be back next season.
They are also pimping Danny Gokey.
She really has decreased my enjoyment of the show. She just comes across as a moron. I was looking forward to a new judge this season because Simon was the only judge worth listening to previously. Kara has not changed that.
I would place her a distant second to Simon. At times, I think she has some good advice to the singers. Much better than Randy and Paula. But she can be a blabbering idiot too.
If Simon is a ten, I would put Kara at about a 3, Randy a 2, and Paula a 0.5.
Is it wrong to pray for Gokey to be gone, gone, gone??? Know anyone we can bribe if prayer doesn’t work?
mjsbigblog.com has two plus spoilers:
Danny Gokey - “Dream On”
Allison Iraheta - “Gold Dust Woman”
Top Idol says Adam Lambert is likely dueting with Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen with Danny Gokey…
It looks like not a good cinqo de Mayo for Idol during rehearsal:
Debbie the Stage manager fell down a 20 f00t staircase. She was taken out of Idol rehearsal in a neck brace on a stretcher. She was waving and smiling as she left.
After, Ryan Seacrest apologized for the delay, and was just about to get dress rehearsal underway….When–completely unrelated to Debbie’s accident–one of the giant “American Idol” globes began to crackle and hiss. It exploded and glass and debris came crashing to the ground. There was panic and screaming and push.
The stage was broken and covered with debris. Peeps were freaking out. Ryan attempted to calm everyone down. Then they cleared the studio…
This duet idea is the stupidest idea they’ve ever had, especially for the rock genre.
I didn’t know Slash could actually… talk. Weird.
Oddly that might have been my least favorite Adam performance. It might have seemed better if I hadn’t watched and just listened.
That was cool. They let the band go balls out with the arrangement. They even kept the guitar solo. Adam sounded great. I wouldn’t have thought of Zep for him, but it suits him. He’s in the same range as Robert Plant. That was all rock too. Nothing theater about it.
I’m amazed a Zep song got cleared.
ETA: Timeshifted…performance is over, and he had me totally buying it, even the end.
Is anyone else’s show cutting in and out?
Glam rock =/= NIN.
Adam was fantastic. Classic Rock is my favorite genre but Led Zeppelin is not (ducking rocks) one of my favorites, but he did very well.
I thought Adam was going to be quite bad (still recalling the Rolling Stones), but I did like that. What do you know.
mjsbigblog was wrong about Allison.
Now we know who should play Joplin in a movie.
Man, it’s nice to hear some real rock songs on this show. I think Allison is killing. Janis is a dangerous place to go, but she’s doing great.
It looks like the judges have their instructions to dump on her, though. They’re so full of crap.
Eh, Allison could have picked a better Janis song. I’m somewhat disappointed by this rendition.
Are you channeling Paula?
Allison was way better than the judges are giving her credit for. I think she’s more interesting than Adam.
