Gokey’s wearing an 80’s, Don Johnson outfit. Here comes the Phil Collins.
Probably, but I’m pulling for the song from City of Angels.
As always, mjsbigblog.com has full spoilers…
Love Allison, but she didn’t do great on that song.
Adam-good upper register, and I almost heard Ronnie james Dio in there, except for the no lower range.
Anoop-hey, anything that keeps him in…
Who’s Bryan Adams?
What the hell?
OH, that was my other choice! Yay! (sacrasm alert)
I like this outfit more than the weird mid-90s shirts reminiscent of the Butabi brothers that he usually wears.
Lionel Richie. Harpist. Awesome.
The glasses are gone. Knew something was different.
He could have quite a career singing at high school dances, at least.
Did Simon just forget where he was going mid-sentence?
Paula is so full of shit.
Thank you, Simon.
“Endless Love?” Realy? Really? Out of all the great movie songs, this is what you chose.
He’s gakking it on the low notes – douching it up now – that close-your-eyes-and- reach-out-like-you’re trying-to-find-a-lightswitch move is really played out and obnoxious.
That was pretty much shit.
Wearing the same outfit, almost.
Of all the songs in movie history they haven’t picked a good one yet. “Born to be Wild” is more “classic” than actually “good,” and it was a weird choice for Adam. But he still showed about a thousand million times better judgment and taste than the rest of these wretched, music-hating idiot savants. Do you know who likes Bryan Adams and Lionel Ritchie? People who have shitty taste in music, that have like four CDs to their name, and more interested in getting drunk at a frat party. In 19fucking85. That’s who.
Thank you Kris for saving the night song-choice-wise.
Kris usually bores me, but not this time. He sorta reminded me of Damien Rice with this one.
Best performance of the night, IMO… great interpretation and great song choice. Nice job.
I don’t know the song Kris is doing but it’s really pretty.
“Falling Slowly” is another shit song from an overrated movie.
Why do these kids despise music so much? You’d think in ten years, or whatever it’s been, that at least one of them would have some taste.
That was a competent performance of elevator music. At least try to do something different with it. make it bluegrass or something.
Why isn’t Simon giving any critiques tonight? That’s like the third or fourth time they’ve skipped him.
