Didn’t Clay sing this song too? Bo is doing a good job with what he has been given – and he actually sounds sort of late Elton-esque, which is not too bad – but dear sweet Jesus, this song is terminally boring.

Sounds like Clive likes Bo … Randy too … Paula with her usual mumbledy muck … wow, even Simon. But isn’t Elton sort of “rock” too? I mean, in his way, and in his day. (Now he just sings old people songs, but what do you expect from an old person?)

I didn’t care for Carrie’s performance. I think she did a good job, but I felt like something was missing. I would have liked the falsetto, too. Still, she was much more emotive this time. Kudos are definitely in order. I wouldn’t buy the single, but then again, I’ve paid good money for worse.

I feel bad for Vonzell because it seems like Carrie and Bo really outshined her (on the first song). Carrie really knocked “Crying” out of the park, and Bo will forever be my boyfriend because he pulled off a song that made me roll my eyes when I heard he would sing it.
Good Lord, I am a horrible rotten nasty cynical old person, because any time anyone except Aretha tries to sing this song, I feel like it is a bad karaoke imitation. And Vonzell is doing a great job. But this song is canon and nobody but 'Retha should touch it. (Ditto for anything by Chaka Khan.)
Randy, are you on crack? This is a good song, and it was a good performance, but it is NOT the best song ever performed on this show. Maybe on this particular show (i.e., TONIGHT), but not EVER.
And I also want to say that even though Kelly Clarkson is a hot cookie, I think Vonzell is the cutest female to ever compete in AI.
Bo just won this competition. That was the coolest, ballsiest thing I’ve ever seen on this show.
Whoa! An “Acapulco” rendition. Ballsy. I am glad someone finally did it. This is his best performance yet. I hope the band isn’t mad at him. But there is nothing like … nothing … to showcase the power of one’s instrument. Bo rocks my socks.
