American Idol 5-3

Vonzell kicked ass on that song.

Not liking Vonzell’s song AT ALL. Nor do I recognize it. She is suffering from Anwar Syndrome tonight – trying to rely on the high notes to get her through. Guess it’s time for me to get in the box.

Los Lobos! Finally something I know!

Great. Finally a song I recongize, and it’s one I friggin’ HATE. Bo, oh Bo, why have you forsaken me? I was really hoping for Green Day from you, young man. At least he’s doing an aiight job.

And Karl? It’s “Los Lonely Boys.”

Los Lonely Boys! They are my boyfriends at night when I hug my pillow. I loooooooovvveeee Los Lonely Boys and Bo would fit right into their band-- if he speaks Spanish.

That’s it. It’s swords at dawn.
I can’t see Bo doing Green Day. I know Bo lovers will kill me, but Bo is much more Creed than Green Day.

Why do you keep thinking all my boyfriends are your boyfriends? I even broke down and bought their cd/dvd last week. Yum.

Waitaminit! Carrie was in college? She wasn’t sitting in the pasture in an outhouse churning butter?

LOL… My bad… Mental fart. I know who they are, I just typed it wrong.

And I know this song… she did good…

Gahh…I despise this kind of music. This isn’t Shit-kicker Idol, honey. Please go home.

Who sings this song that Carrie is singing? It’s icky. And why is she dressed for prom? Simon is right. She is a total automaton.

Biggirl: You know? You’re right. Thank God that Bo didn’t sing Creed, or I’d have to choke the living shit out of him.

Final commercial count/time:

4 commercials totaling 15 minutes.

Rascall Flatts sings the (excellent) song. I didn’t much care for what she did with it, but she can have my babies nevertheless.

Anthony Fedorov- Incomplete - BackStreet Boys - Again, he misses the first note. This is a song that you have to have very strong vocals to start. He doesn’t have it. The second chorus is flat. If Scott doesn’t bomb, I think Anthony really could be gone tomorrow. The end note is completely unnecessary and done poorly. Randy says he had some pitch problems, but he was only 5 out of 10 compared to BSB. Paula said he did an overall good job. Simon says it was a disastrous start but he chose a good song and did a good job.

Scott Savol- Every Time You Go Away - Brian McKnight - “I don’t give a damn what my homies say”? This performance is not as strong. He’s not quite on and hits a few flat notes to boot. Randy says he did it again. He pulled it out again. I don’t really agree. Paula says that she’s had so much joy watching his joy this week. It’s his best week. Scott says he only did this for Simon because he’s not going home. Simon says he was more flat than he was on tune with that song. He says he was much better on the first song. (I agree.) Damn it, shut up. If he would stop talking, maybe I would hate him less.

Vonzell Solomon- When You Tell Me That You Love Me - Originally by Diana Ross - Very pretty song that I do not know. It is remake, I haven’t heard it on the radio lately - Paula seems to suggest it’s being played as an Idol song. She sounded lovely, but meh. Randy says that was a perfect vocal. Paula says that it was beautiful. Simon says it wasn’t a perfect vocal. He says she’s very vulnerable tonight and had an off night.

Bo Bice- Heaven - Los Lonely Boys - Ouch, that wasn’t his best beginning. He looks kinda bored actually…towards the middle he picks up all the notes well. It’s a solid performance overall, but I don’t think this is his favorite theme. Randy says he is the captain of the dawg pound tonight. Paula says he’s fantastic, picked a fantastic song and tonight he rules. Simon says it was a good night tonight and that he makes some of the other singers in the competition look like amateurs.

Carrie Underwood- Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts - She goes back to country, predictably. I love her voice when she sings country. It’s very natural for her and she does a good job with it every time. I actually like her version as much as the original, if not more. She puts more into it vocally than the original artist - of course, Rascal Flatts is a male group. Randy says he would buy that from her, knowing it’s a RF song. Paula says it was beautiful, she thought originally it would be very safe but it was done very well. Simon says it was beautiful.

Bottom three: Scott, A-Fed and Vonz.

Prediction: A-Fed goes home.

Does Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy make you slurr and misuse words? Does it make you talk in disjointed sentences? If not, Paula is still freakin’ high.

My rankings for tonight:

  1. Bo
  2. Vonzell
  3. Scott :frowning:
  4. Carrie
  5. Anthony

I predict that Vonzell, Carrie and Anthony will be the bottom three, with Carrie going home. I hope I’m wrong.

I think Carrie’s still ok.

I was hoping Carrie would do some Martina McBride, JoDee Messina or Gretchen Wilson. Ah well, Rascal Flatts wasn’t that bad a choice.

My prediction: Vonzell, Scott, and Anthony in the bottom three. I am REALLY hoping the :wally Scott goes home. Someone needs to knock him off his fricking high horse.

Anthony - 1st song was okay, there were some good spots and bad spots. It was nice to see him do something uptempo for a change. The 2nd song was much better for his vocals.

Scott - Unfortunately, “On Broadway” was a good song choice for him. The second song was a mess, I agree with Simon he was flat as much as he was in tune. And I hope his arrogance in his comments finally, finally, gets him sent home.

Vonzell - I didn’t like that first song, I think it was too much about just being loud and hitting high notes. The second song was much better but I think Vonzell could be in danger. She’s been in the bottom 3 a couple times now and she just may not have the appeal or fans to pull her up.

Bo - I thought both song choices were great for him. I love him but I also think he was playing it safe, but that’s fine by me.

Carrie - I didn’t like that first song much. I knew the second song would be a country one. She’s got a nice voice but she just doesn’t appeal to me. I think Simon put a finger on it when he said she was robotic.

Everyone seems to have been drowned out by the band tonight, except possibly Bo.

I don’t even want to comment anymore on who may stay or who may go. sigh

Scott gave his best performance yet with his first song. Of course, this is Scott, so he still sucks. I’m hoping that Scott’s votes will be cut in half now that we have to hear two songs from him.

We might lose Vonzell tonight, she had an off night. Anthony was pretty good tonight.

Trying to get through on Bo’s line and I’ve only managed it once. Busy busy busy.
