Winner…A-Fed. (Yes, I am extremely cynical about our voting public. (And yes, I am making a political comment.))
i was going to call for everyone but scott. i got through first time for Carrie but then got many many busys. never could get through for Bo, got through for Vonzell 3 times in a row. Got through for Carrie a total of 3 times.
I really hope it is Scott-but if it is a shocker–I tremble!

The “shocker” might be that Carrie and/or Bo is in the bottom three, but will be “safe.”
Ryan would say anything to get people to watch.
Plus a “shocker” is maybe what the show needs. Right now it just seems like a countdown to Bo and Carrie as the final two.

God, yes! I love that song. It’s difficult to do from a timing perspective as it doesn’t have a solid beat running through the background and it starts with Natalie singing instead of starting with the band. I don’t know that the AI band would manage to not f* it up.
laina_f, Scott brings it upon himself with the comments he makes and his attitude. A little modesty in a competition like this goes a long way. His comment about “thinking about what he’s going to sing next week” is just jerkish behavior. There’s a difference between socially inept and being repugnant. He’s repugnant. The fact is that he’s not as good as he thinks he is. Confidence is a good thing - being over the top isn’t.
Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water ? Sometimes they pick songs that are just…so meh for the group sing.
A-Fed? Learn to harmonize. You are supposed to listen to Carrie and not just expect her to adjust to you.

Bridge Over Troubled Water was one of my favorite idol performances, when Clay did it. This didn’t start too hot, but I think that they pulled it together at the end.
Please, if there is any justice, (which there probably won’t be, considering how my day has gone so far) Scott wil leave and never be heard from again.
Ouch… if A-fed loses, that will be a bad present for his birthday.

Did anyone else hear A-Fed say, “It’s not over yet” when he walked over to the couch? It didn’t sound like he should have been miked for it.

You should hear Patty Griffin’s (original) version. I love the Dixie Chicks, but Natalie’s got NOTHIN’ on Patty. And let me tell you – technically, I’m sure Carrie could do an OK job with the song, but she’ll never break your heart, and that is what the song requires. I also have a terrible feeling that Carrie won’t choose a Dixie Chicks song on her own, as they seem a little “liberal” for her. She strikes me as a stick-in-the-mud type 'Pubbie. No offense.
Actually, I think Carrie was flat there. A-Fed was just meh, but I think he might have been singing the actual correct notes. Although with these arrangements, it’s hard to tell sometimes.
Holy crap! I have the same birthday as A-Fed! Is that good? Should I shoot myself now? Is there something wrong with me that I think Scott going home would be the best birthday present EVER (short of maybe being serenaded by Bo while Matt Damon feeds me grapes and Ian from “Survivor” washes my hair)?
Oh, and Scott? I saw that quick little “thank you” prayer. PSYCHE! Bwahahahahahahahaha! Good Egg, Ryan never said Anthony was safe – he just told him to go sit on the couch. A-Fed is smarter than I gave him credit for: he saw that one coming. Good on him.
