The Smoking Gun reports that Corey - yes, the Sideshow Bob lookalike with the high, mushmouth voice that the judges inexplicably love, is the next contestant with a criminal record. Trenyce’s felony theft pales next to this:

His trial is due in April, and could come up before he’s even “officially” eliminated. My bet is, no matter what he does now, the judges are going to try to influence the votes to get him out the legal way. “Yo, dawg, that really wasn’t a good song for you, knowhatimean. man?” Or, they’ll invoke a small-type clause and override the votes. Anything to avoid admitting they messed up again. But he’s gone, soon, and that’s what matters, right, music fans?

In terms of what to do with him, I trust that the producers and FOX will do whatever makes the least amount of sense.

Man, I disliked that guy from the get-go. And he sings like crap!!! I have no idea how he stayed on for so long.

You almost wonder if the producers did it on purpose.
“Yah, we know this guy sucks, and he’s got this legal thing coming up. We’ll kick him off just before it comes to trial time. That will drum up a lot of publicity.”
They painted him out to be the badboy from the beginning with the night out thing.

And maybe Trenyce’s turn is coming too. How else are they going to get through the remaining contestants sooner?

Yay! happy dance I never liked Corey and I was ready to see him gone. My only regret is that his sorry butt wasn’t booted off by our non-votes, but hey…I’ll take it.

So how are they going to fill in the extra week to keep the finals during Sweeps? Some rigged-up wildcard thing again, or just a cheesy clip show?

My guess is cheesy clip show, or a performance show with no elimination.

It will be interesting to see how they explain Corey being gone on tonight’s show.

I sincerely doubt they’ll bring back Freedomie… God, I wish they would… but maybe they’ll restore Vanessa Olivarez, who was unfairly screwed in Week 1 by being made to tell a nasty joke.

However, if they bring anyone back, I have a horrible feeling the judges will screw up big time and pick a loser. the way things have gone they’ll shot a brick and bring back Julia DeMato.

The Fox website now shows Corey Clark as being disqualified.

I am so glad that others out there had the courage to stand up and say what I have been thinking all along: that Corey is a no-talent ass-clown with Sideshow Bob hair. I am glad he is gone. Now, if only we could find some dirt on that screaming hack, Kimberly Caldwell …
