Can we just have a do-over on this entire night? All this music is just … gross … and it’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back. Gaack. Where did they find this crap? And why is Carrie screaming at me? I don’t like being screamed at. And then she just went kaputzy on that big glory note. The hell?
Memo to the Simons and Company: I hate you all. HATE.
Addendum to earlier Memo, confidential to Cowell: Bullshit. And, she isn’t going to give you a blow job, so would you please stop begging for one? It’s more unbecoming than the rest of your usual behavior.
I have a predicament. Tomorrow night it the two hour Lost finale, there’s no way I am going to not watch that. Heck, I am going to both tape and watch it.
I can do without all the hype working up to the announcement so I think I’ll just haul out my tiny TV and turn it on in about the last 10 minutes of the show to see who won.
That last Carrie song was hideous. Simon did just what I thought he’d do, pimped Carrie to win. When I heard him give round 2 to Bo I knew he was just trying to look unbaised and would still end up saying that Carrie should win. I saw him on a entertainment news show just yesterday saying he thinks she’ll win and that is another reason I badly want Bo to win.
Well, whatever happens with the voting, everyone knows he was the best performer of the season and he will have the best career after the show. At this point, the “winner” is almost a technicality. Clay has done much better than Ruben.
And I third calling bull SHIT on Simon annointing Carrie as the winner. By what measurement or critera does Carrie deserve to win? She’s been out-perferormed every week by Bo and she was out-performed tonight. I think Simon must just think he can market this little empty-headed country pop tart easier than he can market a southern rocker.
Yes, the originals sucked, yes Bo did better overall, yes Carrie was nerving right out of herself, yes the audio mix once again sucked but
Ha, didn’t expect that big ol’ but there didja?
How can we get miffed at Simon’s pimping of Carrie when both Randy and Paula have been declaring Bo the winner for the last two weeks? Even if Simon’s opinion carries more weight, the other two combined oughta equal things out and they’ve both been worshipping at the altar of Bo so it’s copacetic.
Didja catch them substituting Carrie’s dress rehearsal for the live version in the recap of the final song? She whiffed the last note as she started crying but in the recap it was powered right on thru.
Anwar CUT HIS HAIR! Oh my goodness, I didn’t think that boy could get any hotter, but yowza! And was that Jessica Sierra with a big ol’ 5-6 month preggo belly?
I am the dork that loves the group singing, even when they suck, so I’m totally looking forward to tomorrow.
Oh man - I had forgotten the fresh hell that is the AI Finals Original Tunes. Did Tamyra spew these two horrid songs again? >_< My random thoughts:
Didn’t see Scottie “Where’s the body?” in the crowd. Parole violation?
Speaking of the crowd, no celebrities there to pimp their shows? For shame!
Of the Tamyra songs, I thought the one each person sang third was best, so assuming each song goes head to head, I think Carrie won one, Bo won the other.
Bo easily won round two. I hate hate HATE Independence Day. HATE.
Contantine’s CD is on iTunes today. It’s so horrible I’ve decided to give up my life in the modern world, change my name to Caleb, and go live with the Amish people up the road in Oklahoma.
Tonight was so so so much better than the mess that was last year’s screechathon finale. Carrie and Bo, thank you for erasing the memories of Diana and FANT ASIA.
Overall though it’s a tossup. I think Carrie is nervous but I still think she deserves to win as much as ol’ Harold. Either way they’ll both do just fine.
Wow! I really didn’t care for much of the performances tonight. Bo was drowned out by the band and Carrie practically screamed her way through hers. Bo’s first song wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t a Bo song. I knew Carrie would do a better version of that song, but then she came out and I didn’t like her version either.
Bite your tongue, Hal. If Carrie wins there are loads of people who’ll feel exactly that.
Just for the fun of re-visiting a two year old argument, I’m glad Ruben won. I voted for Clay, well Kim Locke mostly but Clay in the finale, but even before the winner was announced it was apparent Ruben should’ve won. Clay already had an education and a career, he had enough ambition to make something of himself, what did the Rube have prior to Idol? A job flipping burgers? Ruben needed the title in ways Clay never would, Clay’s done very well for himself post-Idol so I’m glad for Ruben’s sake that he won.
