American Idol - Final Two (SPOILERS)

Where I am, Lost and AI play on the same station so they will have Lost on Thursday… Didn’t know they’d conflict elsewhere

I just want to chime in and say…

Freiheit - Keeping The Dream Alive!!

How cool is that, that they ended the show with a video montage set to Freiheit’s Keeping The Dream Alive!! My wife’s like, “Is that ELO?”. No, it’s not ELO, it’s FREIHEIT!

Perfect song choice! And one of my favorite songs of all time.

That’s all…Thanks

Go Bo!

Do you live in or near Canada? My mother lives near the Canadian border and receives a couple of Canadian stations. Last week, when *The Apprentice * finale conflicted with the *AI Worst Auditions * show, we were able to catch the AI show on one of the Canadian channels when we visited this weekend. Very handy, indeed.

I caught the Canadian Idol finale one weekend a while back. Oy! How that sucked. Scott Savol could have won it!

In the US, Lost is on ABC and AI is on Fox and will be head-to-head tonight.

Not to mention the Amber Frey movie about her book…a friend told me People magazine said there was nothing earth-shattering in it. Besides, they’ll probably rerun that to death, but AI Finale is only live once.

I’ll just wait until it’s on Lifetime Movie Network. Because, you know, if a movie involves a woman being raped/murdered/beaten/sexually harrassed/etc by a man, then it’s on LMN.

AI is top priority tonight. I have to see Bo win. I voted for the first 35 minutes and only got through 10 times. I tried a little bit later (before 11:00) and got through 17 more times in under an hour.

About the recording: I hang up as soon as I hear “Thank you for voting…”. If I’m quick enough, I only hear “Thank you fo…” I figure a connected call is a connected call and if I’m still on the line to hear the whole thing, I’m tying up the line and, more importantly, someone else’s vote.

They played that over the montage last season, too. And kaylasmom and I wondered what that beautiful music was, ad where we could find it.

So thanks for the answer to that.

Hey, no problem. I didn’t realize they played it last year too.

Freiheit is a relatively obscure 1980s German group. Keeping The Dream Alive was the only “hit” they had in the States. And it wasn’t really that big of a hit, which is surprising because it should have been. I believe they were much bigger in Europe.

You can’t buy Freiheit records anymore, but you can find the song on the great soundtrack, to the great movie Say Anything, starring the great John Cusack.

Ooh, nice, I didn’t know the show started today at 7pm Central.

Nice to see Bo singing Vehicle. I love that song, and he interprets it well. Mmm… yea, a vehicle like him would be good.

stick shift?
I loved seeing the beginning stuff; good to see Connie again. Anwar looks Awful! (the hair)

Yes. Yes it would.

Connie kissed the camera. I feel so dirty.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Is it wrong to admit that I liked the Maxwell House coffee “Our House” sing along more than any of the AI Ford sing alongs all season?

That sounded like the finale from a high school rendition of the “Officer and a Gentleman: Tthe Muical!”

Oooh, the new cars are nice…

Hmmm… Bo seems to have lost some weight.

Did Ryan say Clive wanted to sign Bo?

Yes, but that is true. Clive told Bo they would have an album together.

We got Leroy!

finally got him on tape!

Heh… Making fun of Paula’s scandal…
