I’m glad Carrie-Okie won, although I would have been happy either way. Other thoughts:
-
Ok, former contestants we haven’t seen in forever, they’re not laughing with you. Go away.
 -
Medley? Carrie-Okie? Awesome. Bo? Awesome, but stop singing that song. Everyone else? Is there an auditory equivalent of “ZE GOGGLES! THEY DO NOTHINGGG!!!”
 -
Wow! They got David Hasselhoff?!? They could have at least introduced the kids to Pam “Watch my new show” Anderson (assuming it hasn’t been cancelled already).
 -
The skit must have been directed by SNL people. It was 10 minutes of funny in a 20 minute package. The funny parts were pretty funny though.
 -
Worst note of the night? Lindsey “Girls Gone Wild” Cardinale during the opening number. Yikes!
 -
I normally can only mildly tolerate Mikalah, but her red carpet foolery was actually pretty funny. And a hell of a lot better than Joan Rivers et al. She needs to look into a career in that area (and never sing again).
 -
Still hate Matt “Rose Bowl” Rogers. Please shut up dude. And don’t get fonky with anyone on my screen, much less the First Lady of Okielahoma. And the location shots in general? Dump 'em. Those segments were universally disasterous.
 -
Latoya London wins the award as the first idol whose name I can remember, but whose face and singing I can’t.
 -
Saw George “I’m not 30 - I promise” Huff about 100 times. And John “Teen Martin” Stevens a couple times too. Any other former spares in the audience?

I’ll probably come up with more, but it’s late and I’m tired. Two hours of high-grade treacle takes it out of me.
