They were showing Jessica and Carrie crying - more Jessica than Carrie. I think they probably had become pretty good friends with Mik. You may not love her singing or her stage persona but she looks like someone who is a lot of fun to be around.
They showed Jessica crying more. Guess they’ll miss her. And actually, I will too. She has spunk. I still wonder why people say she’s had plastic surgery? Really? can anyone tell? What would she have had done?

Everytime I turned from the computer it was Carrie. Jessica was crying because she knows she’s next.

Young girls who want to be an American Idol should not wear T-shirts that say “My job is to annoy you”.
She had tremendous chutzpah for one so young, and she went out with class.
The group sing was much better than last week. It’s a song that always makes me cry. Other than now-gone Mikki, everyone was a strong vocal contributor.
Prediction for next week? I’m not making any, I’m not good at it.
Well, that’s that. I’ll miss the drama, but I’m not sorry she’s gone. Everyone who’s still there deserves to be there, and the tour won’t suffer. Now we’re going to start splitting some hairs.
Loved Ryan saying to the judges, “I know this is intense for you,” while Simon was cleaning his nails.
I liked it too, but thought Nikko was particularly weak. Not as bad as Mikayla but not good, and that really stands out when everyone else is strong.
Get rid of Nikko and then we’ll have a real competition going.
So much for even numbers in the top ten after all.
I’ll miss Mikalikawoowoo’s entertaining contributions, looking at her recap made me wonder what she’d been doing differently in the earlier auditions that had the judges fawning over her so much.

They also kept saying they liked the “young, fun” Mikala better. Whatever.
I’m glad they got rid of Mikayla. The girl is so annoying. I hate her spread-legged, squatty dance moves, and her body inappropriate clothing. I can’t even tell you about her singing, but her appearance just put me off from the first time I saw her.
Note to Idol performers: Don’t wear belly revealing shirts if you have an overlap. It ain’t sexy. And your low-rise jeans don’t need to be a size too small, they just end up making your ass look wide.
I hope not. For some reason, I like Jessica. Here’s my problem overall: Carrie has a great voice and is a pretty blonde, but seems a little too bland or “cookie-cutter”.
Jessica isn’t a conventional beauty by any means, but I love the sound of her voice. I think that’s why I’m tempted to vote for Scott. He’s got a great voice, too. I like my idols a little quirky. We’ve got too many Timberlake/Spears/Simpson/Ushers in the world. Bring on more Clarkson/Aikens*.
There are too many great singers to choose from this time. Carrie’s performance was by-far my favorite (and even prompted my ever-critical husband to say “DAY-yum!”), but I’m pulling for Jessica and Scott, too. When it comes to Scott, just remember what Clay Aiken looked like before the AI stylists got their gelling, tweezing hands on him.
*I know he didn’t win, but he might as well have.
I liked her (though as I’ve said, I just started to watch). She had a beautiful face. She was a big girl, but she carried it well. She apparently wasn’t a great singer, but the goil had noive! I didn’t think she’d ever win, but there’s at least three contestants, IMO, who should have gone home before her.

Carie has a good voice, but when you watch her sing, she’s got the most vacant Stepford expression I’ve ever seen.
Her appearance put me off, too. But I think it’s because I never had a body like that at 16. Or at 20. Or 25. Or 29. At 34, I suppose it’s too late now, eh?
What 16 year old looks that good (inappropriate wardrobe notwithstanding)? I agree with Rickjay’s assertion:

I noticed that, too. That’s the only problem I had with her performance. It looks like she was really concentrating on those high notes and held her head down and stared directly into the camera until she was finished sining the particularly difficult parts.
And here I just noticed how pretty Carrie is when she sings. Everybody makes “singing faces”. Most people squinch up their faces and shut their eyes and generally look like they’re taking a gigantic shit. Carrie’s singing face looks more like inner contemplation. I think she looks downright beautiful.
Oh, I agree that she’s beautiful, I just noticed the extreme look of concentration and focus during certain parts of the song. It’s not so much a critique on my part, just an observation.
Now, if we’re talking about ugly singing faces, let’s talk about Jessica Simpson. Woo boy! For a pretty girl, she looks like she’s having a seizure when she sings. Mikekekahi-mikahiney-ho has an ugly singing face, too. But we don’t have to worry about that anymore, do we?
