This is not Guitar Hero, Bucky. Work on the vocals.
O.K., Cowboy is fucking hot. I agree the vocals weren’t super but, damn, he’s fucking HOT!
Whiny vocals from Casey. Stiff stage presence.
Shut the fuck up, Kara, you ignorant slut. You don’t know shit about music.
Simon doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about either. Real musicianship is like kryptonite to these idiots. That was the only thing that’s been worth listening to all season.
Kara was deliberately being bitchy because she wants to distance herself from the gushing teenager she was last week.
She took 2 steps backward.
I love this Coke commercial.
Oh, wait, that was off topic.
I liked Casey’s guitar playing, too. Kara and Simon were way harsh.
Who gives a shit about the vocals? All that matters is the guitar, in my opinion. Plus the vocals were fine. Did you ever hear Jimi Hendrix sing? He was terrible. Vocals don’t matter. Guitar solos matter. That’s what music is supposed to be.
Alex is not, like, the most articulate guy, is he? Blarrrrghh.
Emollet! Emo in the front, party in the back. Two of the worst hairstyles combined into one.
This is a singing competition.
Mullet is actually really good. I can’t help but like that kid.
Fuck you Emollet, singing John Legend. He sounds like he’s trying to imitate him and doing it terribly.
Randy loves his package, though.
Funny how several girls got hammered last week for singing gentle, soft songs, because it’s not Idolicious. Lambert does the same thing, except much weaker tremblier, and they fall all over him.
I thought he was timid, his voice was weak, and his pitch was all over the place.
Jesus, Todrick, can you pick a song done by someone with dangly bits, just once?
It’s never really been about the singing. It’s about the most commercial package. If it was purely a singing competition, Jennifer Hudson and Clay Aiken would have been winners.
All I know is that Casey doing that SRV style version of that crappy song was the first thing I’ve ever heard on the show that would make me want to jam with somebody.
I don’t disagree with you at all. His guitar playing is quite good. My concern is that it isn’t what the show is looking for.
Todrick may be the most inauthentic, plastic contestant Idol has ever seen.
I kind of like Todrick. I don’t care what anyone says. He’s at least not cookie cutter and bland.
Todrick just sucked the life out of that song. And Wtf Randy, be consistent. You tell them to bring something of their own, and then you tell this guy that he just needs to sing a great song.
That’s exactly what I like about him. What the show is looking for is pretty much a reverse barometer of what’s good.
And now Randy’s dumping on someone for being too original with their arrangement.
Todrick’s style is cold and cerebral, and I think it’s going to hurt him. It seems to me that he has some skills and creativity, but he needs some warmth. He stripped the life out of that Tina Turner song.
Shut up, Randy. I like when Todrick changes up things. And wtf is Kara talking about? Be original while you sing the song exactly the way the original artist sings it!
The idea is to not be original at all.
What I meant up there is: The real idea of AI is to not be original at all. Be a Pop Star!
