eBay sends emails to my gmail account, with links back to their website. These links are supposed to take me to an item, or to my messages, or to some other location, all on the eBay website.
Since the last iPad update (I have no idea if this is connected to the problem), the links are no longer working.
When I click a link, a new window opens. And there it hangs. The url I see says rover.ebay.com/, and then a bunch of random letters and numbers, which I am sure is an encoded link that should direct me to the correct location.
I suspect this is how it always worked, but I never noticed it before because it worked. But now, it doesn’t.
Does anyone have an idea of what is going on, or how to fix it?
Just so you all know
- this is happening on both chrome and safari
- I am accepting cookies
- there is nothing else I can find in settings that I’ve updated/changed on my own.
I’ve tried everything I can think of, including resetting my browser settings to default, and then starting from there.
The hanging is very similar to the hanging I’ve experienced with the SDMB, but reloading the eBay page doesn’t help like it sometimes does on the SDMB. It simply won’t load.
Thanks all
