I’m hoping next Monday will be a calm day off, but I don’t think the universe is going to allow that.

BTW, have you tried carpet shampoo on your spill?
I never tried that, but their crab boil sucked big time, no flavor. And their sides were greasy and over cooked.

So much for sleeping in. But that’s fine - I really don’t need to get my internal clock all messed up. Higgs has been out and fed and now she and Taz are chasing around like crazies. I’m trying to decide what I should have for breakfast before donning grubbies and putting stuff away. It’s raining and my yard is squishy, so taking the dog out is so much fun… :rolleyes:

**Seanette **- I used a carpet spot-cleaner spray. The spray-n-wash appears to have gotten most of the crud up, but I need to go over it at least once more. I think eventually, I can get it all… altho a throw rug is still an option.

Just waiting for Southern Merrylande to come to a screeching halt when the first snowflake flies later this morning. VWife sent me to the store last night for unrelated stuff, and the local Fuds Kitty was in the middle of a French Toast orgy. :rolleyes:
Was it in the deep water or shallow? You’ll get the hang of it either way. Water aerobics is one of my favorite things. The only better thing is Aqua Zumba which, unfortunately, only happens about once a month at my Y. It’s coming up next Friday, though, so I’m looking forward to it.
Today it’s back again to school. It’s weird having a class two days a week. This is the first one I’ve had like this since my undergrad 16 years ago. Now that we’ve been, though, I can understand because we’re actually going into a school in a couple weeks and working with their kids one period a day twice a week.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated and at irk. I met OYKW at Pearly’s this mornin’ for brekkie. I had a bacon/aig/cheese bizkit and grits. YUM! He had bacon, scrambled aigs, grits and a bizkit. The weather today is weird. Right now 'tis 64 Amurrkin out and that will be the high. Temps will steadily drop and by around four this afternoon will be in the mid 40s. Plus there is a “wind advisory” in effect. Winter returns to south Jawja.
MOOOOOOM we made Rosie and doggio clean up their mess. They were throwin’ coasters, sofa cushions and Mountain Dew at each other. flytrap said sump’n about decoratin’ I think. He said we needed a bit more decorum. I don’t know about decorum but I have been to Decorah, Iowa. A man made a pass at me in a hotel bar in Decorah. I was appalled. Flattered, mind you, but nonetheless appalled.

I’m supposed to check out a place in Hagerstown today, home town on Saturday and, Frederick on Sunday.
I need some chocolate.
Now that my mom has gone back to bed leaving me here to wait for the plumber I remember what it is that I need to do. My two bathing suits are deteriorating and there’s a little shop down the road that sells them for $40 or less. Hopefully the plumber will show up soon or she’ll have a short nap so that I can get one before water aerobics tonight.

Morning accomplishments: I’m breakfasted, showered, and dressed. I’ve reloaded the sink cabinet and tossed stuff I don’t need - like oven cleaner - I have a self-cleaning oven! I’ve also vacuumed the dusty crud out of one of the corner cabinets and I’m about to start reloading it. With luck, I’ll be able to reduce the volume by about 1/4-1/3 - there were a lot of baking pans I’ve not touched since I put them in there.
Meanwhile, I’m taking a break - don’t want to stretch too much.
Don’t do it sari! You know MOOOOOOM is tryin’ to find recruits for that massive remodel she’s about to undertake.

In other news, I have a sorta upset tummy. I am considerin’ goin’ to da cave. If I’m gonna feel ick I’d rather be there. I can do irkstuff from there so serious consideration is underway.
Eating breakfast and getting ready to head out down the mountain. It’s raining again. SIGH. Oh well, can’t help it. I’ll just rake up wet leaves in a couple of bags and sort out the nuts at home.

But no French toast tonight…I’m making lasagna.
First corner cabinet is cleaned, the contents have been sorted, rinsed, and put away, contents of a second cabinet have been rinsed and towel dried, but I’m letting them air dry a bit before putting them away, since they’re my metal baking pans. The other corner cabinet is where my small appliances live. I’ve already culled the waffle iron, and I’m pretty sure the ice cream maker is going also, as well as the old blender, since I’ve gotten a new one. There’s also a funky hand-held blender thingie that my MIL gave me some years back and I’ve never used it - out it goes! This is the same MIL who gave me a salad shooter. Seriously?? That’s long gone…
But, break time while things dry. I need lunch, but I don’t know what I want. No leftovers, so that’s out. Maybe I’ll run out for a burger??
