An Impatient MMP

Once I used off milk for the blue box mac and cheese
it took several bites to figure out what was wrong

UGH isn’t strong enough

I see where this is going & there’s only one thing to say…
channeling my inner [Bluto]
FOOD FIGHT!!!
[/Bluto]
…& in other news, Nancy Reagan was wrong; say YES to drugs, at least the ones the doctor told me to take (& cxl the hitman, I don’t feel like dying anymore.)

I’m thinking about rescheduling my next big test that I need to take. As of right now it’s in two weeks and having snuck up on me I am totally unprepared and need money so I need to work instead of sitting around and studying all day. My thought is this, it’s $30 to reschedule (rescheduling to mid April) and it’s $120 to fail and have to take it again.

In other news, today is my first day of school. Rah.

Of course!

Do you mind if I bring the fruitbat too? He likes jam. Oh, and I’m out of trout at the moment, I could supply a neon tetra if that’d be any use?

I need to actually start doing something today, other that prepping for food fights obviously- the internet (plus tea, chocolate and warm) vs. doing sensible cold things in the cold outdoors. It’s pretty obvious which one I want to pick.

Is the fruitbat anything like a brickbat? **FlyTrap ** (and GT too!) would approve of that!

Food fights are much more fun than work.
Exhibit 1 - me :o

Q.E.D

Well, I don’t have to rush home today after all! The furnace guys, who were supposed to come in the afternoon, showed up a little after 8! They fixed the leak and all is good. There was a slight problem with the sink cutout, but the counter guys were taking care of it and **FCD **said all is well.

I have been churning out the drawings - go me! I’m almost done with my list, I think. After I’m done lunch, I’ll figure that out. So pretty much a food-fight-free day in the paradise that is my cubicle! Try not to envy me too hard.

What say you mumpers, I think Moommmm is rubbing it in, which is definately NOT nice, dammit!

Operation Redirect Food Throwing at Moommmm begins NOW.

I’ll throw chocolate bonbons.

Because it’s my turn to be nice dammit!

oooh, sari, you’re my new favorite!

ergh… one of my firefighter cousins got a bit crispy with heatstroke today. While fighting an apartment fire and rescuing people, he got too hot and is now at the hospital for observation. Last I knew, he was a captain, so I’m not sure why he went in.

gotti prayers and good thoughts headed out to your cousin.

Had veggie soup for N.O.L. I like to take little bits of raw broccoli and throw it in with the soup. Sump’n about the crispness of the broccoli with the cooked veggies makes it taste so good to me. YUM! To good to throw even.

Well with the way this thread is going I suspect Mooom’s counter fest will be messy, Higgs will likely be happy

Howdy all, sorry for the drive by

Jim

Egads just got back from running some errands and whoboy tis chilly. 37f/3c and super wet, not exactly the day to hop onto the Motorcycle, frozen

That’s all for now

Jim

Jim your weather is what’s headed our way. Only we won’t have ice and stuff just rain. Ye Olde Home Towne could have “significant weather” Thursday and Firday however. I just love that term!

Dindin shall be leftovers from yestiddy. I have a poke tenderloin that I shall rotisserie this evenin’ for tomorrow’s dindin along with succotash and parsnips. How efficient is that!

We have new counters, and they look *horrible *with the wall color. I’ve definitely got to paint post haste!! All seams, save one, are good matches. The one is not even close, but it’s where my napkin holder usually sits, so we might be able to ignore it.

The long counter is too heavy for the existing support. **FCD **had to rig up a temporary leg, and we’re probably going to put two gusset-like braces to replace it. I reallly don’t want a leg to the floor if we can avoid it. And after I paint, we’ll have to put some kind of trim where the backsplash almost meets the walls - this house isn’t perfectly square…

**FCD **has run to Lowe’s to get drain stuff. I’m making myself some pasta. I’ve put all the drawers back in, but I need to sort the rest of the crap before it gets put away. There’s too much that I haven’t touched since it went in the cabinets, so I’m pretty sure that means it needs to go away. I’ll start sorting after I eat. I need to sort out the wall cabinets also, but I’ll start with what’s out.

Busy busy busy!

Now see here’s the difference between a straight person’s house and a gay person’s house. If I had new counters and they looked horrible with the wall color, all activity other than gettin’ that new wall color up post haste would immediately cease. I would not dare risk the chance of a visit from the gay mafia and you know they would know if I did not take care of it right there on the spot. Can you imagine the shame of it all! The gay mafia (remember it’s two guys named Guido and Bruce) would break in my house when I was away, take pictures of the horrible wall color/counters combo and then go to all my neighbors, show my neighbors the pictures and make fun of me over mimosas and/or sloe gin fizzes. I could not bear the shame!

Howzzat for drama?

swampy, darlin’, I lurve ya to pieces, but you are one weird bear… :stuck_out_tongue:

We’ve decided we’ll paint the walls “Toasted Cranberry” and if we hate it, we’ll pick another color. We still haven’t decided how far to take the paint, since our kitchen and family room run together. I may end up painting both rooms. Then the dining room will look shabby…

**FCD **is back and finishing the plumbing. Once he’s done, I’ve got dishes to do. I was going to sort some stuff, but I just don’t feel like it. All drawers are in and the cabinet between the stove and fridge is filled, since it houses stuff I use all the time. It’s the cabinets on the other side of the kitchen that need sorting. While my sweetie is in PA, I should be able to get it all done.

You haven’t repainted the ugly wall yet? The horror! The shame! The bear is right - we do manage our decor a little differently.

My cousin is out of the hospital and is resting at home now.

You know this is a slippery slope. Before it’s all over the whole house will need to be repainted. Then you’ll need new carpet. Of course that will make the tile in the bathrooms look shabby so you’ll have to replace the tile. That in turn will make the bathroom counters, tubs, toilets, showers etc look bad so you’ll have to replace all that. Then you’ll go down to the basement and of course it will look shabby, so there’s a complete make over down there.

You might as well just bulldoze the place and start anew. :stuck_out_tongue:

ETA: Great news about your cousin gotti!

<wondering if it’s bear season in Jawja…>
