Shhh! I am posting from irk instead of doing any irk. I’m waiting for three batches of assignments to come back from printing so they will require large amounts of work when they arrive, thus I am taking a short break while I still can.
I’m having a short week at irk anyway, off to sunny Scotland on Friday so that will be a fun drive…
In other news, it was -5 when I left home this morning. The cats were refusing to go anywhere that didn’t involve either a bed or a radiator. Can’t say I blame them either.
Must be a morning for feeling ick. I AM going to feel better, though. No other choice as I am subbing all day and going to class all night.

No, I was not up all night painting. So neener neener on you!
**FCD **is on his way to PA. Poor guy didn’t finish the kitchen drains till nearly 8 last night. He had to make a just-before-closing run to the local True Value for a part, and he forgot his wallet. :smack: But the woman at the checkout recognized him as a frequent customer so she told him he could come back and pay the next day! How nice is that?? I’ve got the packaging in my car and I’ll stop on my way home and settle up. Had she not done that, he’d have had to come home, get his wallet, then drive all the way to Lowe’s, wasting more than an hour… I guess that’s an advantage of dealing local in a small town.
One not-so-good thing yesterday - he’d set a glass of coke where the cat knocked it on the carpet. For whatever reason, he didn’t spray it with a cleaner - he just tried to suck it up with our carpet clean. When I got home, I soaked it down, then ran the cleaner over it, but the stain was set. Today, I guess I’ll see if OxyClean really works like the TV ads say. I’ll mix up a paste and work it into the stain, then take the cleaner to it again. Worst case scenario - an area rug…
And if cleaning that rug doesn’t totally wear me out, I’ll sort and put away the kitchen stuff that’s still strewn all over the dining room and green bedroom. Anybody wanna pop in tonight for a tidying party???

Since I’m out of real work to do, I’m doing some housekeeping stuff - getting a data package organized, printing off a set of drawings from the latest project, and thinking about how early I can cut out today. Seriously, unless someone gets me a task, I’m out of things I can do, and I’d rather surf at home in my fuzzy slippers than here where the connection tends to be rather slow.
My poor sweetie called from the road - he’s exhausted, and from the looks of the weather radar, he’d headed into an icy area. I’m going to worry till I hear he’s safely in Johnstown.
