Oh, please. I read every word of the thread before I posted in the previous Pit thread, and I said almost exactly the same thing as Stoid, albeit at less length and probably less eloquently. Eve’s “I don’t want to hear what they think” clearly meant “I don’t want to hear that they think transgendered people are evil sinners”, not “I don’t want to know what they think of my personal appearance”.
The remark was tacky and thoughtless, and Jersey’s behavior afterwards in not apologizing was rude. But it was not “unbelievably cruel”. Cruelty requires intention, and I am quite sure that Jersey had none.
Bull. If there were any doubt about the deliberate malice behindJD’s remark, her conduct afterward left no boubt about her intent. She and her husband, IMO, are a pair of sociopaths who use Jesus as a “Get Out of Jail Free” card whenever they are called upon their lack of human decency.
Gobear, I agree. It’s not like it’s the first time this has happened. She’s been told countless times that her words are razors, yet she continues to do it. She knows whose feelings will get hurt every time she does it. She’ll hide behind the “just telling the truth” and “the bible says so” veil, but she is being deliberately hurtful. She’d have to be an idiot to miss the pain she inflicts on others.
And it remains interesting that Joe made a stab at an apology, but we’ve yet to hear a peep out of Jersey.

Is it necessary to invoke christian values to talk about basic human decency? I don’t like cutsey-wootsey let’s-do-a-group-hug-and-commit-our-hearts-to-love shit but I don’t like hurting nice people either, even when it’s true (which I don’t know, neither care). No one needs a 24/7 job for that.
At least Joey Cool tried to make a point and apologise. We’d need a pit thread of the pit thread for JerseyDiamond.

This all sounds EXACTLY like why I just avoid these religious threads entirely. I’ve never (well, maybe sort of once) seen them stay civil and unsnipy.
You can’t convince someone of a radically different view by yelling at them, and usually not by arguing, either.

Well, of course, the rules state that sockpuppeting is grounds for immediate banning of the sock. They might crop up a few times but the mods can keep up with that. And of course, if JD “forgets” and shills for her husband again, we could go for the trifecta.

Ah, I just read Joe’s post in Ace’s apology thread. Maybe it was a combination of the two that finally did it. 
If I had to guess, I think Joe got banned for his last post in Ace’s apology thread. He basically dared Lynn to ban him, which is a dare she always seems more than happy to accept. And, of course, Ace was banned for that same thread, which may be some sort of milestone in and of itself: how many people are so misanthropic that they get themselves banned while trying to apologize?
At any rate, the overall tone of the entire board just shot through the roof. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say.
Since the OP has been banned, shouldn’t this thread be closed? Just wondering if the train wreck can end.
