In case someone might take you seriously, that’s not correct. Kn*ckers was last active in 2003.
As mentioned by samclem, Nickrz was a moderator until April 2000. Not sure how early he started, but a search shows he was moderating by at least August of 1999.
His most recent posts were in January of this year in GQ.
I’m out of town this weekend and unable to participate fully right now but I’ll be back Monday and try to catch up on this – and get you the info I have. Sorry for the delay.
Nickrz worked for us for a bit way back in the early day. He reads the board from time to time so try to say something nice about him, okay?
He was a moderator for a while too – don’t remember exact tenure but it was for more than a day or two. Smart guy. Mouth to match as well, but it was a more rough and tumble time and moderators could show some 'tude.
Just to have a starting point for more details on BANNED members, I used the file that ntucker made available last year to look at those BANNED Dopers with at least 1000 posts by the time they were set free.
Here’s my list of current and former staff members with start and end dates when I have them. Perhaps someone can fill in some of the ??? dates, and confirm the (?) dates.

With all great respect due to the posters mentioned, manhattan’s singlehanded moderation of GQ was truly epic. Yes, GQ was handled by a sole moderator for years, when he wasn’t trading arcane instruments on Wall Street. It was a never dull mud wrestling contest between the teeming millions v. manhattan’s sanity: the pit threads would multiply like fiendish bunnies. Eventually it came to be more than one man could handle, but the fight was glorious.
I still have admin privileges. Generally I don’t use them unless I see a spammer late at night, when I think that nobody else is gonna be able to take care of things any time soon. I still get a warm tingly sensation in my naughty bits when I’m able to ban a spammer who is busy creating a new thread.
Man, who could forget UncleBeer? I remember how he closed all the early “All Your Base” threads before they’d gotten more than a few posts along, because he had no idea what was going on, and then closed all the later ones because, as he saw it, it had already been done. He was a character.
I have merged the contents of Posts #51, #63 and #92 into one file that I will post as soon as we get to a new page (for me = Post #101). It will be in UserId sequence.
If a second version in Mod Date(s) order is requested I can repost #92 (with the subsequent corrections) on the new page.
The new merged file still has quite a few ??? things and I can’t swear to 100% accuracy/completeness on the new file. So please correct anything that needs it.
There are gaps that we explored in one of those “gee whiz” threads when the post count was approaching 4,000,000. I assume the same sort of thing accounts for the mismatch.
