Name a server and faction and I’ll think about it. It’s unlikely you’d see me much though–I’m currently on a high-end raiding guild on my home server and after spending 16 hours a week alternately getting my ass handed to me and handing bosses their own asses…well, my interest in non-raiding content waned a while ago. But leveling with a group would be fun–I tend to be terrible with alts mainly because I tend to wind up soloing everything. Even though they lessened the leveling curve, it still kinda sucks.
(Note–stay the hell away from Baelgun. That’s my home server and while I’d like to see you there, we do NOT need more people on it.)
I’m in. Solo levelling character #4 to 70 is getting boring.
I’m an altoholic, so I have a toon collecting dust in an inn somewhere (both Horde and Alliance) that I’ll transfer as well as starting a fresh one.
I’ll also volunteer as a part-time Old World Instance Run coordinator.
If we’re starting fresh, I like <Burning Dog Legion>. The other idea I vaguely remember floating around a while back that I liked was <Knights Of Cecil> and all new toon names had to end in “gry”. I also vote for a regular PvE server.

Any EU dopers want to form a guild? I have a 65 toon on Emerald Dream that I don’t play any more (abandoned two weeks after BC came out) but I will also gladly form a new toon on a fresh server. (Horde preferance, but will of course play Alliance if that is the consensus)
Wait. Isn’t ED a US server? I have a character on Emerald Dream (my main) unless they recycled the name and theres one for US and one for EU.
Anyway, I made a survey for many of the relevent questions.
I’d like if everyone took it quickly so we can have a database of results (some of the quesitons I’ll need to post the results to like guild name so we can vote).
I’d rather everyone rerolled though. Part of the fun is leveling together. Getting charity from level 70s and getting walked through instances is boring.
Personally I’d prefer PvE or RP. I’m currently playing on Moon Guard. It’s one of the last RP servers created and it’s VERY RP. Lots of people RP in General and in public chat. Probably not the best choice if most people aren’t interested in that.
I apologize to anyone who got booted out of the survey, if you can’t go back and complete it tell me. There were some odd issues and the survey kept getting closed. This is the official, final version of the survey that’s up now and shouldn’t be closed again unless we have another restart because someone couldn’t get back in.
Wasn’t just talk we started the guild and one by one the dopers dropped out it got to the point where the only people playing were people who had never heard of the straight dope and even they left the guild when larger more active guilds started courting them.
Sad because at least in the beginning everyone seemed to be enjoying playing and everyone was quite generous with sharing goods chatting helping each other out.
I’d be down though I don’t get a lot of extra play time–my guild does endgame instances so much of my WoW time is spent in raiding.
As far as the survey, I was forced to answer some questions I really don’t much care about, the first two or three pages even. Really the only thing I had an opinion on is I’d rather roll alliance than horde. Also, my guild is on Azgalor and part of a network of high-level smaller guilds. It’s a great system and might be a good alliance for this new guild.
I tried out the Survey but it kept crashing on me, so I will put my preferences here.
I’d like to start new and try a class I haven’t done before, and be able to team with people.
I’d prefer either PVE, or RP. I’m not a big fan of PVP servers. Beyond that, I don’t mind either faction. I’ve done a lot of alliance, so changing things up with horde would be cool but not a biggie.

As for how it’s handled
It’s a toss up between a merit system and a “free city” electoral system with 3 votes each. Static leadership lost by one vote.
One person suggested thunderhorn as a server
One person brought up he’d like lots of instance help and such.
