Only one: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. I saw it about thirty years ago, on daytime television, during the summer school holidays about a week before Christmas. Even then, as undiscerning children, my sister and I realised that it was a terrible film.
Just the other day, I gifted a friend with a box set of el cheapo B-movies, and I’m glad to see that a number of them are on this list (Santa Conquers the Martians, Robot Monster, Eeyah!, and a few others).
Thanks to MST3K, an overzealous mother who insisted the family get together to watch something “family oriented”, and a roomate with a love of movies featuring babies, animals, and/or flash-in-the-pan celebrities - I’ve seen 24.
I’ve seen 54 of the top movies … I feel relieved. But not too relieved.
The only one I remember watching is Street Fighter, which I found silly and mostly forgettable but not completely horrendous (I’ve definitely seen far less entertaining video game adaptations). I’m pretty sure I caught at least a couple of the Police Academy movies on the list as well.
Personally, I can name a few movies I’ve seen that I found vastly more objectionable than a 60’s cheapo sci-fi potboiler or a stupid celebrity-of-the-week comedy. To each his own, I guess.
I have seen 20 of these awful movies… Thank god I don’t remember liking any of them… god, that’s 20% of them… I would hate to think of how many hours of my life I have wasted watching them

20)Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Good greif, I can’t believ I’ve seen so many. Of course here I am including movies I saw primarily on fast forward, or saw while mercilessly riping it to shreds with freinds while partly drunk.
Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 (200
Hercules in New York (1970)
Jaws: The Revenge (1987)*
Steel (1997)
Teen Wolf Too (1987)*
Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989)*
Spice World (1997)
Tarzan, the Ape Man (1981)
Street Fighter (1994)*
Surf Nazis Must Die (1987)
Indicates a movie I wasted money seeing in a cinema. As you can probably tell I was a teenager in the late 80s and early 90s.
I had a friend who thought Monster a-Go-Go was so bad that it was good, and I tried to watch but I was bored out of my mind! So I gave up on it. So I’ve seen about half of it.
Manos.
Creeping Terror.
Santa Claus… also bored me to tears and I think I fell asleep while watching.
Battlefield Earth.
It’s Pat.
Bolero, as a kid, through the magic of HBO.
Howling 2. The thing that’s funny about this is when you read interviews with Christopher Lee, in which he says disparaging things about Hammer Studios, because he wanted people to take him seriously as an actor. And then you find out he’s in this joke of a movie! Which is like a terrible blotch on an otherwise decent movie career.
Smokey and the Bandit 3.
Piranha 2, which is funny because once the piranhas gain the evolutionary gift of flying, that’s when the terror begins. As animal exploitation movies go, there are an endless stream of far worse ones, mainly straight to video or straight to cable, coming out by the truckload courtesy of the SciFi Channel.
Tarzan, the Ape Man. Again, thanks HBO. Even my dad groaned, and he of course only watched it to see Bo Derek naked.
Manos the Hands of Fate at a university bad films night.
The Real Cancun on DVD but I didn’t realise it was a movie. I thought it was a TV show.
Surf Nazis Must Die which I only saw 4 days ago. I rented it through Quickflix thinking it was an amusing cult classic suitable for watching with my teen son. It was jaw droppingly bad. Everything about it is excruciating. I enjoyed thinking while watching it that people had been serious about the endeavour.
The NeverEnding Story III (#85)
That’s it. I’m surprised - I feel like I’ve seen some bad movies, but (at least according to imdb), apparently not that many.
Battlefield Earth (which I didn’t think was that bad for a Hollywood action film)
Jaws the Revenge
Police Academy 6
Smokey and the Bandit 3
Streetfighter
I’ve only seen five too. And of those, the only one I would fight for is Rollerball (2002). Certainly not a good movie, but I wouldn’t put it among the bottom 100 of all movies ever.
