And now, I’m here. Up and ready to think about getting ready for work. Off to caffeinate.

I’m here. I had to get up early, just to go get my boobs squished. The joy! I tell ya…
Cute baby pics, Swampy!
Glad you made it home, Mom.
I’ll catch y’all later from work - gotta go get purtied up for the technician.
So THAT’S where the legendary buttless chaps came from!!
flowers, I am so sorry. I need to hug Mr. Anachi real hard when he gets home since I stll have him after his heart attack two years ago in July.

Christmas was wonderful. Great gifts, great time with family, wonderful weather.
Yesterday I was too tahred to do anything but blob.
I am off today to PetSmart for some borax, Macy’s to see if the Samsonite suitcase with swivel wheels is on sale, and to Borders to see what I might want to spend my giftcard on there.
This vacation is going too fast.
Tupug
Howdy Y’all! Up and caffienated here. I need to go get cleaned up and purtified just cause but ain’t got that far yet. It’s cloudy here and may be stormy later on. Bring it on I say! I love me some good tstorms!
Yesterday, I set up a wireless router and stuff. Today I shall load the software onto Mr. Laptop and see how well it works. I am anxious to see if’n I can surf teh internets whilst propped up on the bed or all laid back in my recliner in the livin’ room. If’n I get it to workin’ I promise posts from all over da cave. I’m sure everyone will want to know if I can post from the bathroom.
Mom said I was born with a full head of hair and that she was worried when I cut two teeth at three months old because everybody said it was a bad omen and that I might not ever cut anymore teeth. Fortunately mom had the sense to ignore everybody and listen to the baby doctor (I’d type the proper name but I don’t feel like makin’ sure I spelled it properly so I’m goin’ with baby doctor) who told her everything was just fine. Oh and I still have hair, unlike my bald brothers.
Here’s hopin’ everyone had a great Christmas/AppropriateOtherDay. It was fun bein’ with family. We had a great time yakkin’ it up and eating copious quantities of food. My next to oldest brother asked mom why she slacked off this year and had only fifteen different kinds of dessert. Smart-assedness is a strong family trait.
Speakin’ of mom baked goodies, I was sent on my way with tons of ‘em! Cake, pie, cookies, and candies. I felt secure in knowing I would not starve to death during the gruelin’ two and a half hour drive back to da cave yesterday. I talked with ol’ y’all know who yesterday. When I told him about the goodies, I think he drooled on his cell phone. He’ll be back later this afternoon. Poor thing will probably run into rain on his way cause it’s comin’.
Oh, and he put in a request for supper. Bacon cheeseburgers. Pretty dang cheeky of him to just up and think I’d cook, ain’t it? I think I’ve spoiled him. That’s ok though, he’s kinda worth it.
Ok, time for some more caffiene and purtification.
Later Y’all!
Good morning everyone. I’m up, but not really awake.
Firstly, I overslep; if you can call what I did last night sleeping. My night was filled with nightmares and dreams that would bring me out of sleep so fast I was sitting straight up in bed.
So, when my alarm went off, I thought I hit the “5 minutes more” button. Nope, I turned it off completely. I woke up at about the time I’m leaving the house for work.
So, I dashed for the shower and everything, but couldn’t even keep my eyes open in there. As I got out of the shower, my whole attitude was “Screw it; nothing is really going on there; everyone was a total crab yesterday, and I’m just too tired to even deal with it”. So, I called in and am taking a mental health day. The only reason I’m still up is because the garbage and recycling had to be drug down the driveway.
I think my and my wet haid are going to lie down and sleep some more. I’m so tired that I feel sick to my stomach. How is that possible?
Hi, everybody. I’ve been kind of hibernating, feeling really lousy; I’ve read, but not posted to speak of. Not physically lousy, just seriously antisocial and not wanting to talk to anybody.
Cute baby pics, Swampy! You were a cute 'un!
I’m so sorry for your loss, flowers.
One of the only one of Papa Tigs’ coworkers to come in to work yesterday turned out to have been there all night, up in the ICU with her husband who’d had a heart attack. He was complaining about his chest feeling tight a couple weeks ago, and went to the ER – and they sent him home.
So we’re all hoping he’ll be okay.
I’ve got nothing of interest to report; my life has been beyond dull and boring. Christmas was nice, albeit quiet, but I sure hope I can get out of this funk soon. I’ve been trying to get some work done, but haven’t even been able to do much of that. I have no idea why. Oh well, this too shall pass, right?
{{{Taters}}}
Hope you feel better after a nap.
I’m feeling slightly better today, no more inclination to run to the bathroom, but my throat is still a bit sore. I was supposed to be fixing lunch for my employees today, but cancelled. So now I’m just going to dedicate the whole day to laziness. It’s not often that I can do that and soon will be my busy season, so I’m going to take advantage of this day.
TVMan and I were going to a New Year’s Eve thingy, but it’s $50 per person. And that’s way too much for us self-employed folk to pay. It kind of frosts me because it’s for dinner, a band that we like, and unlimited alcohol for the evening. Well, I didn’t really drink much before and now with my being back on lithium, I don’t drink at all. So it would be a waste of money for me. I wonder if there’s a discount for the designated driver?
And I don’t want to forget to mention this later: GT, hope you have a wonderful time visiting!
Nothing of any interest to anyone is happening with me right now. Work, though it will only be a few hours today…maybe a bit of house-straightening…meet some friends for beerverages this evening.
Some days I can’t stand the excitement that is me.
Headache is finally gone, and I think I might have bruises on my neck from self-massage last night. I’m nervous that my blood pressure might have gone up. We’ll see at the medical appointment today. Blinding bad headaches are not fun. My sympathy to anyone who gets them regularly.
Mr. Lissar’s god-dad, who is extremely Scottish and always has fantastic stories, told us about his ridiculous medical emergency at Easter. He’s had lung cancer, has some ribs removed, and is better now but in permanent controllable pain. After church on Easter he was not far from home, stopped at the bank, and started having a heart attack.
He recognized the symptoms, and stubbornly stayed in line and waited to get his money out so he could get a cab to the hospital. Got to the front of the line, did his transaction, staggered out and flagged the nearest taxi, and groaned (imagine thick Scots accent), “Get me to Emergency fast, dammit!”
The cab driver got a nearly twenty-dollar tip, because god-dad didn’t want to wait for change. For some reason. I can just picture him stubbornly hanging out in line, eyes closed, moaning and refusing to give in.
I heard the British were fanatic about staying in lines - excuse me, queues. That’s pretty extreme though.
I hope you feel better Taters!
Ugh. I have errands to run today that involve going outside. Don’t wanna go outside. :: whine ::
Well, I’m back after a four hour nap. I’m still tired, but if I try to sleep some more, I’m afraid I’ll never get to sleep tonight. My tummy, however, does feel a little better.
I’ve got some coffee brewing. Maybe that’ll wake me up a little.
It’s supposed to snow here today, not much, and inch or two accumulation in my area. I have yet to see flake one today.
I need to see if my coffee is done.
Well, well, I’ve just discovered that there is an Episcopalian Church about 3 minutes away from TVMan’s house. I’m kind of excited. I really have been looking for somewhere to call home. My old church, where I spent about 30 of my 33 years just doesn’t seem to do it for me anymore. So, I sent an email requesting more information to the church. It may take me a few weeks to talk myself into going there (I’m a big chicken) but we shall see.
That was a bunch of rambling, wasn’t it?
I’m waiting for lunch from Wendy’s and then I’m going to take another nap.
I got a call from a community college out in the 'burbs and they’re offering me two classes on Mon/Wed mornings. Two LITERATURE classes. I would love love love to take this chance, but I already have a class lined up for Mon/Wed afternoon at the place I’m at now … and I really need to start thinking about visa sponsors - I think my current school would be more likely to sponsor my visa since I’ve been there for so long.
This new school has two campuses - I’m praying that the classes they’re offering me are being held at the one closer to the city. Then I could take the classes without it affecting my current schedule.
Argh. Please let this work out. I’m going in for an interview tomorrow morning.
Hi y’all! The wireless network works! YAY! How well does it work you ask? Well, I’m posting from my bathroom aaaaaaaaay across the house. What? I said I’d post from the bathroom didn’t I?
I am about to eat dinner…I am sick of eating
Nothing really happening here - can’t believe I have been off work for a week and that I have to leave on Sunday to go back to stoopid work
Still nothing exciting going on here. I thought you all would be interested in knowing that because you just can’t live without the updates on my mundane life.
We did discover, however, that we can take the memory stick from my new camera and plug it right into my TV to look at the pictures on it. We can even add music and view the pictures as a slide show. That was pretty cool.
I guess, since I’m home today, I should make the stock from the bones of my prime rib roast. Eh, I dunno, maybe tomorrow. We’ve got one meal left from our Christmas dinner, I may just do that instead.
They’re still talking snow here, I still haven’t seen a flake.
Haze, I hope things work out with the other school.
Taters glad you’re feelin’ better. Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse, teh sick or teh ick.
CutiePie The Episcopal Church Welcomes You. If you go the next couple of Sundays it’ll still be Christmas because it’s the season of Christmas right now. That means the church will still be all decorated and you’ll here Christmas hymns and such. Right after that is Epiphany Season which is pretty Episcopal normal. That might be a good time to visit. If you like it, hang around for Lent, which is next up. Also, if you express interest, you will get all kinds of info about the Episcopal Church. One thing to remember is that all baptized people are welcome to take Communion. We don’t care if you were dunked, poured or sprinkled, just as long as some water got on ya and the minister said “In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” or words to that effect when he/she did it. Plus, we throw good parties.
Oh and I’m posting this from my back porch. The storms we’re supposed to get have turned into sunshine right now and it’s 72 degrees Amurrkin according to the thermometer on top of my fence. Go figure.
I’m havin’ all kinds of fun with this here wireless stuff. Laptop and me are roamin’ all over the place.
Thanks for all the compliments about the pics. gt I got whapped with an ugly stick as an adult.
ETA: Think I’ll go back to the bathroom and post over at Skip’s place. That’ll impress 'em!
Did you all miss me? I can tell from all the posts wondering where your dear Rigs is…
My POWER was out! I came home from work yesterday around 4pm, to no power. It stayed off until 10pm, came back on, went off again, and then stayed on–until 10 am this morning, when it went off again for about 90 minutes. And now all is well.
My neighbor (the one I adore) is retired from ComEd, so I always call him and [del]give him shit[/del] inquire politely as to what is going on. He said that the crew that was working on some felled trees from Sunday’s windiness accidently knocked out the power yesterday. In the course of fixing that, they discovered that the 3in1 transformer needed replacing–or one of the 3 or something. So, they did that this morning.
I can now finally clean house and do dishes etc. I could have last night, by candlelight, but I worked and came home tahred, so I went to bed instead. I was cancelled for today and just found out I’m cancelled for tomorrow as well. Of two minds re that: one is it’s nice to be off when the kids are home and the other is, but we need the money…
I hope Hazel gets the job. Which suburb?
Swampus–cute baby pic, but I think you’re about 6 months. Never seen a 3 month old hold his head up like that… I was bald my whole first year, as were my kids.
Happy Thursday, all.
I was precocious rigs. Plus I had two older brothers so maybe I figured out I’d better make headway early on.
Oh, and I’m postin’ from the swing out by my pool. Well, I don’t need the sunglasses cause it’s cloudin’ over now. Looks like the rain is comin’ from the southwest and will be here in a while. Hope ol’ y’all know who makes it in before then. He should be here by five-thirtyish.
Ok, time to go make up some burgers. That ground beast is just not goin’ to shape itself into patties no matter how many times I tell it to do so.
Later Y’all!
rigs, I was wondering where you had been. I’m glad to see your power is restored.
I guess it’s started snowing in some areas, but not here. Frankly, if it’s going to snow, I wish it would just dump on us so I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow.
But, that’s not in the cards.
