And the Oscar Goes To....MMP

**Savannah ** - I am so sorry for your family’s loss.

I like it! and I think you look fine. (thanks for cropping out the excess me  )

Happy Friday everyone!

Savannah, please accept my condolences on the loss of your grandmother. It was nice you and your husband could be there for her.

I am not at work today. I gave my boss a leave slip so I could take today off. He teased me and asked if was I was taking today off to avoid today’s VTC. I told him no, just wanted the day off, besides, this VTC had nothing to do with me, but everything to do with another co-worker and that she should go.
So here I thought I’d have a nice quiet morning, but alas, this was not the case. Hubby decided to stay home and is currently playing a very noisy PC game. The kids are home too, because of a two hour delay for school. Next time I’m not telling anyone that I’m staying home. I was looking forward to the peace and quiet.

Schools here in Puyallup are delayed two hours because of the snow. :dubious:  Look, the roads were worse yesterday and there was more snow yesterday, I’m just not getting it. The roads don’t seem to be that icy either.

Lissla, I’d love to go to Toronto someday, but I know it won’t be on the government’s dime. That would be sending me to a furrin’ country for goodness sake! I’m not a high enough level for that! Really, I’d love it if they would send me TDY to Germany. I’d love to see it again. I lived there for three years as a child and it was awesome. Someday I’ll scratch up the cash to get back there and visit.

I must be someone’s evil twin because I’m a brunette. Well, I don’t really wear eyeliner though, and just some mascara. So maybe I’m only half evil.

But, but–who is who? (whom is who? Who is whom?) Which is which?

I’m the short one with the stupid look on her face.

Google Earth says it’s 45 minutes from the Outerbridge to Ridgewood, 44 minutes from the Goethals Bridge, and 22 minutes from the George Washington Bridge.

I’m endlessly amused by this.

I see no stupid women in the photo, but I will assume you have longer hair and no glasses.

You all look like you had a good time!

I have eaten the backwards banana bread-it’s good! (it’s hard to actually screw up quick breads, really).

Off to fold laundry–I’m a celebrity in my own life!

I think Draelin and anyrose look very nice in their picture!

I’ve been watching the news and apparently there were many accidents down here in the South end of the Puget Sound area due to icy roads. They actually shut down State Route 16 for awhile due to the many accidents and ice. So, I guess it’s a good thing there’s a two hour school delay.

Nothing exciting going on here yet. I’ve got things to do around here, so I’ll probably get a start on them sooner or later.

Ohnoohnoohno! I sent my resume in for another job today, and this time I actually got an email back from the guy, and he wants to talk in ~1/2 an hour! I think the guy I’m talking to is at a staffing agency, so it’s not really an interview but I’m still really really nervous! This could be a good opportunity for me so I don’t want to screw it up! Aaaaaaah!

Breathe, taxi, breathe!

Take a deep breath taxi ; it’ll be alright. Really it will be! Good luck!

Well, the guy was friendly and helpful but he said I need to beef up my resume in order to have a shot at this job. So that’s what I’m going to be doing this weekend. Doesn’t that sound like fun??

Doesn’t “beef up” a resume mean that you have to do things in your career to include on your resume that would make it look better?

Padding a resume is something that you can do over a weekend.

i might scream - today is from aitch-ee-double-hockey-sticks
First that server that gave us so much tsuris two weeks ago? It hiccuped today and we lost access to it for about an hour. Naturally, we all assumed the worst, fortunately no damage done when it came back up.
Then, while reviewing a list of accounts for a 3rd party client yesterday, I discovered many errors in their favor, and half as many in our favor; so fair is fair, right? I submitted all the corrections. Now I’m being told we may just have to “eat” those. We gotta give out money, but we can’t reclaim any? what kind of bs is that?

Wow, it’s fairly quiet in here today. Did everyone take the day off?

We went and looked at wakeboards, but we’re going to wait until next week to see what else comes in. It’s still fairly early yet. We’re not going to get anything too fancy; just something to learn on. Then, if any of us start to excel at it; we’ll buy a better one next year.

On the way home, we stopped at Quiznos, then the movies theater. We bought tickets for tonight to see The Libertine. We’ll see how it is.

I haven’t done anything productive other than a load of laundry and a load of dishes. If I had been alone here, I would have gotten more done. It’s just easier if there isn’t anyone here. Oh well.

Well, off to do something else now.

I’m here, I’m here, Taters!!!

Got home at a reasonable time after a not-awful day. Didn’t get lots done, but at least it wasn’t actively unpleasant like yesterday.

Rebo, I’m sorry about your Dad and his friend. I’m sure it must be very difficult. I hope he can visit a lot; and if not, maybe he can spend more time with you, even if he’s not living with you. Are there other activities he could participate in? Volunteering? Classes? Something to help him meet other people and make new friends?

Hey taxi, I keep meaning to ask you: did you see this post? It’s from the “What are you saving up for” poll. I didn’t see you reply and didn’t see a thread, so I thought I’d point it out to you… (Your interview reminded me…)

Sounds like a pretty trying day, anyrose. Sounds like certain servers could use a replacement.

Can’t think of much else. Maybe I’ll go look for food.

GT

Incidentally, tho I’m late with this comment - nice photo, Drae and rose! You don’t look near as insane and dangerous as you seem here… :stuck_out_tongue:

Today was another fiasco at work, but it’s done, so that’s good. I’m hoping I don’t get called in this weekend. When we first found out about this exercise, they promised us our involvement would be on regular work days from 8-5. It wasn’t even supposed to start for real until Monday. Our people on site are making work for us - especially our senior engineer. I just know she’s responsible for today’s fiasco. Oh well, it’s over and I should be safe this weekend.

After throwing clay tomorrow, we’re going to a cat show! The woman who gave us our kitty is the Vendor Coordinator - I’m hoping we run into her there. I’ve never been to a cat show, so I’m kinda looking forward to it.

It was lovely here today - too bad I was indoors all day. But FCD opened the house and aired it most of the day. And when I got home, we took a short walk, enjoying the warm. Two more days before it gets cold again. I’ll enjoy it while I can.

mwahahahahahahaha
