Your cite references the quote but it’s not a primary source. It also doesn’t say she called herself a “near virgin” as you implied in your OP. Just to clear that up, those were your own words, not AJ’s, correct?

Probably because she’s constantly being grilled about it by the press. I actually haven’t heard her say much about it lately. She gave one infamous interview where she talked about the intensity of her sex life with Billy Bob (who she was married to at the time), but since then I think she’s been relatively quiet about it and I’m still waiting for a cite that she’s ever claimed to have slept with more than four men.

I wouldn’t count sleeping with people who are legally separated as “adultery” in any meaningful sense. Pitt was no longer in a relationship with Aniston when his child with AJ was conceived. His “marriage” was only a paperwork technicality at that point. IIRC, Billy Bob Thornton was also already separated from his wife when he began his relationship with Jolie.

I was just trying to determine whether she is or is not lying about certain things, and whether or not that has been shown. As I recall correctly, a post or two back I defended her has being NOT a liar, because I hadn’t seen the evidence. Once I saw some, I changed my mind and though, hey, perhaps there is some historical revision going on.
Good point about the definition of adultery…I was using it in the same sense it had already been employed, though. I think that usage is generally accepted.
I see what you’re saying, but since they were still legally married, the question becomes when DID the relationship with Jolie start (assuming they didn’t conceive the child the very first time they did it), how much of a marriage did he & Aniston have at THAT time (and for that matter, how much of a marriage did Aniston think they had)?

There are plenty of celebs who manage to keep their sex lives private. Angelina doesn’t have to answer questions about her personal life if she doesn’t want to. I don’t know if she’s lying or not…I just find it distasteful and I’m tired of her.

Well, I’m not claiming property rights - anyone else who wants to use the words “near” and “virgin” is still free to do so. But I did write the OP. Which explains why my name was on the post. I’m looking for the part where I supposedly said Jolie called herself a near virgin but I can’t spot it. A little help?
As for primary sources, if you’ll spring for airfare, I’ll fly over to London and pick up a copy of UK Cosmo. But otherwise, I’m going to figure the fact that numerous blogs have all started quoting the same article in the same week pretty much proves that the interview exists.
This site talks some more about the interview and makes it clear she said she’s only had four lovers in her life and then names four men. So I guess she’s also renounced any past claims to being a bisexual as well.

Well, according to my google-fu. Pitt and Aniston were legally separated in May of '05 and the kid was born a year later in May of '06. That means the kid was conceived about three months after Pitt and Aniston had both publicly announced their legal separation.
All three parties involved, including Aniston, have denied that Pitt ever slept with AJ before the separation. The reports were that Jolie wouldn’t give it up as long as he was still with Aniston.
By the way, my research also tells me that Billy Bob Thornton was already divorced when he started dating Jolie, so there was no adultery there by either party.
Despite accusations that I was being judgemental and self-righteous, I wasn’t actually trying to prove somehow that AJ was a slut, or that she was an adulterer or anything else. I was just trying to say that she either slept with a married man or she didn’t. If it was all after he was legally separated, then I would say she did, but agree that it’s more or less a technicality at that point.

For some reason, politicians are allowed – by media and the public at large – to hold as truth today something they held as a lie yesterday, and vice versa. Few people ever call them to account on it, either.
