What evidence is there that Jolie is particularly intelligent, or than Aniston is not? Big props to Jolie for her humanitarian work, which she has tackled with sincerity and alacrity, but it doesn’t make her a genius, does it?
By all accounts, the reason Pitt left Aniston for Jolie is that Jolie wanted children and Aniston didn’t. That’s a pretty significant relationship issue.
I didn’t say she was particularly intelligent, I said she was more intelligent than Jennifer Aniston. That’s not a high bar. I base that conclusion on subjective perceptions of her interviews and her talent.
She was on Friends.
I didn’t say she was a genius. She is, however, an exceptionally good actress, which suggests a certain level of intelligence in my book. Aniston hits her marks and says her lines. She never becomes a character.
That would be an interesting product to market to farmers.

I imagine it would have her mug plastered over the side of the machine, shaped like her chin and elbows.
I’ve never seen any out-of-character interviews with either Aniston or Jolie, nor have I read any extensive interviews with either. I have, however, known actresses (though not famous ones).
You don’t have to be intelligent to be a good actress, or even to play an intelligent character. Gillian Anderson, for instance, claims she is nowhere near as intelligent as Dana Scully. Intelligence helps, but it is certainly not necessary, to speak intelligent lines.
However, it does take some intelligence to play dumb well, in my opinion.
And the idea that somebody is stupid because they appeared on a television show you don’t like … good grief, that’s what you call evidence?
To each his own. She doesn’t, and never really has, done a thing for me.

Are you fucking serious? You actually think appearing on a popular sitcom proves someone’s not smart? How does that work? Seems to me it’s a pretty smart move to get yourself on a show that makes you a hillion-jillion dollars. Wish I was that smart.
And bear in mind that a hell of a lot of actors appeared on Friends.

It’s not an uncommon perception. “Dumb” comes up pretty often in descriptions of Aniston. Perhaps only less frequent than “boring”.
Really? Because when I look at Jennifer Aniston I get “warm and friendly” and when I see Angelina Jolie I see “plastic, distant, and aloof.”
I saw her interviewed on Leno years ago and I was highly unimpressed. She was obviously a ditz and not even an entertainingly funny one, like Jessica Simpson.
I’m not exactly a big celebrity follower, but I’ll read People or Entertainment Weekly in waiting rooms, or Vanity Fair interviews when I’m visiting my parents (they have a subscription) and I’ve read several interviews with Angelina Jolie which show her to be an intelligent and interesting person.
I know which one I’d rather hang out with, and I’m not interested in having sex with either of them.

I’ve never understood why people see her as attractive. She just doesn’t do it for it. I find her rather uninteresting looking. Plain.
Yeah, I’ve got to agree with you here. Her wrists and ankles look almost as big as mine, and I’m a dude - and the picture doesn’t even show a good view of her waist. What do you think wrists and ankles should look like, Kythereia? Obviously something wildly different if hers are worrying you. I’ve always thought they’re supposed to be boney in healthy people and fatty deposits around them would worry me a lot more.
