Ann Coulter and Michael Moore are speaking at my university (no, not on the same day)

Link

Coulter will be here on September 25; Moore on October 10.

I posted this in the Pit because it seems to be inevitable fate of any thread containing a reference to either of these two characters. Both of them together has to be a recipe for disaster.

I’m hoping to go and see both of them, and i just hope that proceeding are not interrupted by morons trying to shout them down as they speak. I also hope that the level of questioning at the end is appropriate to the intellectual level of my school, and not just a bunch of whining or vilification.

I’m trying to think of exactly what i might like to ask each one, and suggestions from Dopers are always welcome.
[maybe this should be in IMHO–mods, feel free to move it if you think it should be elsewhere]

Maybe if you could get them together they’d annilhilate each other and give off useful energy in the process.

What is the land-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

There’s an idea. Michael Moore could eat Ann Coulter, get indigestion and die.

An African or a Europ…

No No! No!!

I will not get dragged into a Holy Grail quotefest!

Ask Ann Coulter why she makes such a big deal about California’s budget deficit, but remains silent on the huge deficit the Bush Administration is running up.

Omigod, wouldn’t it be totally cute if they met and hit it off and went on a date and when they were parked in Lover’s Lane an escaped mental patient with a hook-hand dismembered both of them?

Well I’m sure Tars Tarkars has a few suggestions

Aww.You aren’t any FUN anymore…
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You can ask them both how they feel about the current sensationalism of the media. Why is media playing towards emotion instead of relying facts to the public.

Ask them what they think of the current trend to dismiss news because of slant, and what, if anything they think can be done to bring media back into the realm of believability.
IMO, they are part of the problem. I am interested in hearing what they have to say about it.

relying, relaying. BAH!!!

Ask Michael Moore if he’s stuck with his stated policy of only hiring black people. In Stupid White Men, he makes quite a big deal out of it.

ARSEAGE!!!

Since this is the pit–hebesphenomegacorona. Does ridiculosuly long name have to lead to ridiculously long POST???

Why does this remind me of the Far Side cartoon with the dingo farm and the daycare center captioned “Recipe for Disaster”?

Eve, you’re my hero. Will it freak you out if I make an effigy of you and start praying to it?

And if it refuses to answer my prayers, I’ll just dress it in navy blue and beige as punishment…

Yeah, ask Anne about her being a Rollercoaster!

Well duh, it’s because Gray davis is a Commie Pinko, Leftist, Satan Worshipping, Traitor, Liberal, Democrat and Shrub is a Patriotic, Commie Crushing, God Fearing, Conservative Republican.

I’m normally all in favor of free speech, but shouting down, whinning, and vilification might actually be an improvement on the intellectual discourse in these cases. Ask Ann what she thinks of Moore speaking a few weeks after her and ask Moore what he thinks of some random point Coulter brought up, attributing it to her. The reactions should prove…amusing.

you know, if Ann Coulter ate Michael Moore, the result would be a normal-sized moderate.

/just had to share…

Did you go to see Patch Adams tonight? I wasn’t able to make it because of a prior commitment and am curious as to how he was.

Definitely looking forward to seeing both Coulter and Moore, though, and I’ve already marked both dates on my calendar.

(Hopkins Soph here, lurker for almost a year, now, and the thread title caught my eye. Have any idea if/how many other Dopers there are at JHU?)

Oh, and the odds of the questions being up to the supposed intellectual level of our institution are directly proportionate to the number of suitably intellectual suggestions the SDMB gives or we think up, I imagine. I can honestly say I’ve heard just as many stupid things of that nature over the past year and change here as I think I would have at most other institutions full of college-age people. Maybe I just lack faith in my average peer, though.
