Anna Nicole Smith's worth w/o potential inheritance?

I searched for this on the internet but all I get are references to the 400 million dollars she may or may not have gotten if she lived.

My question is, aside from that potential inheritence does anyone have a clue how much she was worth otherwise. She must have made money from commercials, her show etc.

I haven’t found any direct information, so we’ll have to infer indirectly. Forbes magazine publishes a list of the 100 Highest Paid Celebrities. (“Includes dollars earned solely from entertainment income.”)

The most recent figures are for June 2005 to June 2006. Anna Nicole Smith is not on the list. The lowest on the list is a different Nicole — Nichole Richie, whose estimated income in that period was $2 million. So, presumably Anna Nicole Smith earned less than that.

I’m glad someone started this thread, because it crossed my mind as soon as she died. I’ve never been under the impression that she was destitute. And hadn’t she lost weight recently and gotten back to doing commercials and such? I seem to recall she had done some really stupid commercial for a weight loss pill recently. I don’t know if she had other engagements.

Well People magazine paid a cool million for her "wedding’ photos and In Touch paid 375k for the last photos of her son and daughter, so thats $1,375,000 right before she died. I’m sure the Trimspa endorsement was worth some big bucks.

I have a feeling that if she had any net worth to herself, it was probably a mute point. If you have to resolve over $850k in BK court, she probably had money problems until the day she died. 1m deals ain’t shit if you can’t keep it.

Funny - this was also the topic of convo at my office. I believe I read she & HKS were in Florida & had purchased a yacht (a small one from the pictures, but I would think a bit of $$ was involved).

Playboy income - are there any kind of residuals from the videos she made (if she made any - I believe she did)?

Guess? jeans residuals? Anything coming in from “back in the day?”

Residuals from the movies she’s made? At least “The Hudsucker Proxy” & whatever “Naked Gun” movie she was in were fairly successful.

Personal appearance fees?

TrimSpa deal would seem to be the most steady income, I think.

Selling “wedding”/baby pictures - ready cash at least.

I can only imagine her financial life was a chaotic as her personal life.

This came up regarding her mansion in the Bahamas - either she paid 900K for it in July and her Estate owns a House I take is worth much more OR she was living in a boyfriend’s home at the time of her death and had nothing - at least in the Bahamas.

Her attonery Wayne Munroe told reporters he had “retaken possession of the estate” and filed a robbery complaint with police over computer equipment and other personal effects allegedly taken out. Earlier on Saturday, the attorney for a U.S. developer [a Mr. Thompson] who also claims ownership of the waterfront mansion, said he had the locks changed on Friday, put a chain on the gate and had taken control of the residence on behalf of his client.

Smith had claimed that Thompson bought her the house as a gift while Thompson’s attorney said the house was on loan to Smith and when she died they change dthe locks an took it back.

Munroe said Smith bought the mansion in July for $900,000 AND (this is crtiical to her case) Her ownership of the home was the basis of Smith’s claim to residency in the Bahamas. Before she had even died Smith had filed a lawsuit asking a Bahamas court to recognize her purchase and reject Thompson’s claim to the house.

The Bahamas Supreme Court has scheduled a Feb. 26 hearing on the matter.

Do cameos get residuals? What I know about the Hollywood pay scale could fit comfortably in a thimble with room to spare for what I know about quantum physics, but for some reason, I thought that cameo appearances in films were paid at a flat rate.

I think you’re looking for facts, not opinions, so I’m moving this thread from IMHO to General Questions.

I don’t usually pick on typos, but we are ignorance fighters here - did you mean a “moot” point (one that has no relevance to the discussion at hand)?

Yes, thanks.
