How about actually dead.
Wonder who had her in the Death Pool?
If true, it’s not shocking.

Lots of people did. But not me.
Why do I keep thinking the words “addition by subtraction?”
The few times we’d seen her on TV lately, she just seemed completely out of it, her speech bordering on incoherent. What a mess her life became.
Her poor little baby.
 Holy crap!
Does this mean her face will be on the death list at the oscars?
Holy cow- that’s fast.
Like it was ever going to be a happy ending to this sad and weird tale but still… I feel for her family and her new born.
I agree. I would be surprised, looking at her recent interviews and from her dramatic weight loss, if she wasn’t a drug addict.
Ha ha! Hilarious Wiki-vandalism:
So who thinks the husband who ostensibly isn’t the actual father of the daughter is miraculously going to inherit?
Oh the movies and books…
Poor thing was a mess.
Shocking - yet not.
She reminded me a lot of Elvis - uneducated, unable to cope & surrounded by people who didn’t care as long as the free ride continued.
“Back in the day”, she was arguably one of the most beautiful Playmates ever - http://cache.wonkette.com/politics/anna%20nicole%20smith.jpg (lingerie picture - no nudity).
By all accounts she was a devoted and doting mother to her son Daniel; he was a remarkably normal and charming young man who adored his mother.
She did the best she could with what she had. It’s easy to make fun of her, but I wonder how well any of us could have coped under those limiting (education, etc) choices. The death of her son must have been a horror for her.
It will be interesting to see which of the men posturing as the father of her daughter really steps up to the plate now.
A very complicated life - I hope she’s a peace.

This is so sad…the whole thing is tragic. When I saw her on TV after her son died, I had a gut feeling she’d never get past it. Between the drugs, the dieting, a recent birth, pneumonia, grief, and all the stress of the lawsuits, it’s no wonder.
Now who gets her 90-years old ex-husbands millions?
When I first heard this I was surprised, then a second or two later I realized it’s not that surprising. For a long time she has struck me as someone who would die relatively young. When her son died I figured she might follow but I thought maybe the new baby would keep her going. I hope things work out better for the baby.
Then my third thought was “who had her in the death pool?”.

That’s the first thing I thought of…and it brought tears to my eyes. That poor child. ![]()
