Another Blurfin' MMP

Jesus Chr…er, Moses and Aaron on a stick that would make a great sig.

Well, I do have cupcake mix. I sheepishly admit that I enjoy making cakes from mixes.

Would anyone like some powdered cake?

I believe he and Legolas are being pouncy somewhere.

Midget, I make most of my cakes from mixes - but I jazz them up so they taste better than if I followed the instructions on the box.

I just threw together a coffee mug brownie - it wasn’t bad! So I’m good now. Time to knit!!

“Reign in Blood” Baby “Reign in Blood” or What Would Kerry King do? aka WWKKD. I need a bracelet.

I love it when I understand that there are “Others” who see the World just like me:D

For those who are curious…

Jim

No Mediacom techie showed up. GRRRRRRR… Thus the non-workin’ digital converter boxes are all boxed up and sittin’ in twuck. They shall be returned in person tomorrow. I shall inform them [del]where they can put the dang things[/del] that I expect working boxes and an appointment with a techie between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I’d say Monday but that’s men’s night over to the church house and they ain’t inteferein’ with that.

Ok. Vent over. ‘Tis a rainy evenin’. Think I’ll relaxate and veg.

No, one must be subtle.
Play the Doors The End very light at night, barely audible.

Those Sri Lankan spiders ate a post from earlier…
Barkeeper’s Friend should make short work of getting that stainless steel sink pretty again.

My moment of AURGHHGH!

Thanks to a few goofs with my disability leave, I’m not getting paid tomorrow. They had my return to work date as earlier in the month. I hope they manage to get things untangled quickly before my car payment and phone bill are due. No idea yet about buying food.

gotti that just stinks. Maybe it’s you who really needs the pool shark and box of pointy stick wieldin’ Sri Lankan spiders.

I now have two picturesof my new teeny-tiny dictionary.

I got my hair cut. Pictures in my thread in IMHO which I linked to earlier. Big day tomorrow, first meeting of the school year in my district that I’m student teaching in. RT did his best to talk me down from the ledge. In one way I feel bad for him that he met me during one of the most stressful times in my life but in another way I figure if he can deal with me like I am now that everything else should be a piece of cake.

Off to figure out what to wear.

Irk went into OT, since the frozen truck showed up late(I wish I had a sack of Sri Lankan spiders to fling at the dispatchers.)

More for me!

:dubious::rolleyes: Kids these days.

Better than being a pervy Hobbit fancier.

I like the cut, Sticks, good luck! : walks off humming Hot For Teacher :

Hope they fix things quick, gotti

Doggio, got a couple of questions for you and unfortunately they are sort of (hah!) work related. Sorry for that! I need to get a corkscrew and am wondering if I can get a decent one at one of the Dollar Stores? There are many that are close by - Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and Dollar General, as well as Walmart. Does Dollar Tree even carry a corkscrew that is going to be somewhat easy for me to use?! LOL IOW, I know that a .99 corkscrew is probably going to be a POS, I don’t expect much for .99 but maybe it will work to open up a bottle of wine or two? Cause I sure did get some wine and forgot that I didn’t have a corkscrew so can’t open it!

I’ve tried that brownie in a cup recipe, FCM, it’s not bad, but sometimes brownies just don’t turn out right for me here in the higher altitude of ABQ! I didn’t know that things cooked in the microwave can be affected by the altitude but it seems that for me, they can be. LOL Although … sometimes the recipes seem to be a little off, when you get them online. Strange! Glad that satisfied your craving. Now I want one!!!

Hope everyone has a good Friday tomorrow.

Choose Dollar Tree. And they aren’t too bad.

Thanks, doggio.

I am up and getting ready to eat breakfast. Then off to begin my life as an adult. :dubious::smiley:

Blurf!
Anyone have jumper cables for my brain? :frowning:

Morning, Mumpers! It’s another bright and breezy day over here on the Marie Celeste. I am (as far as I can tell) the only person in on my floor today. Everyone else is either on holiday or doesn’t work on Fridays. I think I might have a little party in the office, just because I can.

Jim, you’ll be pleased to know that Reign in Blood was on the playlist last night. I have a copy of the double live CD “Decade of Aggression” so that went on first. I did follow it up with a few other favourites like Rage Against the Machine and some Lamb of God.

My next step will be a formal complaint to her landlord, especially since I now know she’s involved in drugs too. Ours is not a great neighbourhood but she’s certainly helping it down the pan with that sort of caper.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 80* and rain/tstorm/apocalypse both today and tomorrow. For real the forecast for today and tomorrow are the same. 'Twill be a rainy next week or so here in south Jawja it seems.

Herbs what doggio said re the corkscrew. I’ve bought high end fancified ones that last a couple of years. Right now I have two that I bought from Dollah Tree a good ten years ago and both are still goin’ strong. I admit that I only use 'em once or twice a month at most but they do the job and that’s what counts.

Good luck with your meetin’ and becomin’ an adult StickyBuns.

Go get ‘em BooFae! Speakin’ of go get ‘em, today is go time with Mediacom and me. I shall be there when they open at eight this mornin’. Yeah, I gotta go do the irk thing too but I figure I should get that outta the way first thing.

OK, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas purtification for irk and wagin’ of war with Mediacom must commence.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Wow - I was able to lie abed until just after 6! Woohoo!! I drew the curtains to keep the room dark and left **FCD **snoozing, because I’m nice, dammit! I have breakfasted and I’m finishing caffeination. The temp is 54° outside and 68° in the hallway where the thermostat lives - another cool morning.

Daughter called last night and we talked about her impending first day of school. She’s very excited, but I’m thinking she’s probably a bit overwhelmed with the new school. Last year, she had around 80 kids total, and there were fewer than 600 students in the 7 grades. This year, she’ll have about 125 students in a school that has about 1500 students in 3 grades! So, yeah, a bit of culture shock there. But she loved her principal and she seems to like her team and the other science teachers. I think she’s also relieved because last time we talked, she thought she’d have to teach sex ed. But 7th grade covers earth and space science, which are 2 things she really enjoys. Classes start Monday - we’ll see how she’s feeling this time next week…

I hope I get a crabber today - there was no one yesterday and so far, no one today. Sunday is an off day - if no one goes out tomorrow, I’m facing another very slim payday. Oh well… But maybe I’ll yank some weeds today - at least I’ll feel I’ve accomplished something.

**tarra **- I don’t think the method of cooking/baking matters. I’m pretty sure it’s the difference in air pressure at altitude that affects if/how baked goods rise. Yet another reason I wouldn’t want to live in mountains. I loves me some sea level!

**doggio **- we just had a Dollar General (they’re the ones with the yellow sign, right?) open down the street, so I went there to check it out. I was surprised that their eggs are about 20¢/dozen cheaper than Food Lion. I wasn’t surprised that their milk was a dollar-something more expensive. I *was *surprised at how much stuff was in such a little store - quite a variety of offerings. I’m guessing that’s fairly typical - I almost never patronize these stores. Not out of snobbery or anything - they’re just not on my shopping radar. My mom, on the other hand, loves 'em!

Whatever. Happy Firday!!!

Blurf. I don’t wanna be an adult. I wanna be a professional Parrothead.
