I’ve been working on clay Christmas ornaments for a craft fair next month. Lots of work to do!
I should practice the ukulele and clarinet today. Maybe the B-flat clarinet and the old bass clarinet. My bass clarinet had gone away on summer vacation (waah! it got to go away on a holiday and I didn’t!) but it’s back now.
Christmas ornaments? CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS??? Good gawd, woman, it isn’t even Labor Day yet!
We’re Jews, Cute One.
The hell do we care what the Goyim do?
BTW, Shabot shalom. I brought home cut tulips for the Shabbes dinner table. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) likes them.
Heh, well, I’d like to have as many crafts ready as possible for the fair next month.
I practiced my instruments for a bit, and I should probably get back to them.
Christmas? WTF?
Irked, laundered, came home.
Good luck, Mooommm!.
Sticky, I like alone time, too.

If you do crafty stuff, it’s really not too early to be starting Christmas stuff. Especially if it’s something you want to sell - it’s got to be ready at the latest by late October. I’m already planning some Christmas-themed towels, and I need to have pottery ready as gift items. So, yeah, Christmas.
On the other hand, the Halloween costumes and candies are out too early as far as I’m concerned, altho we know full well the candies will be eaten and replaced several times before the beggars arrive.
I’ve got a crabber today!!! And he’s a close one - about 5 miles away! So it should be a quick trip - huzzah!!
**FCD **will be getting up in about 20 minutes and heading out about 7:15 to meet up with his biker gang for today’s poker run. They’re going way the heck up north - almost to the PA state line. One nice thing - if he decides he doesn’t want to ride back tonight, my mom lives in that area - he can crash at her place for the night, so I don’t have to worry about him making the long ride back.
Next Sat, we’re going to a Blue Crabs ball game. I bought a t-shirt yesterday that I’m going to stencil with blue crabs. I may do that today. I’ve also got to hem 10 more towels - I bought them yesterday and ran them thru the washer, so they’re ready to go. And sewing is something that’s easy to interrupt for a crabber check, so yay for that.
We’re promised another nice, coolish day. I am so loving this weather!!!
Happy Saturday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 dreary degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 75 and rain, rain, rain. A flood watch has been issued with already some flood warnin’ in a few places on creeks. A good day to stay at da cave.
Some folks are comin’ for N.O.L. after deheathenization tomorrow. My favorite recently retired Deacon had a birthday this week, Happy 74th bday Deacon Jim!, and this is in honor of him. He lurves ham so I’m bakin’ a small ham. There will also be pineapple casserole, green beans, deviled aigs, rolls and his favorite chawklit cake with Coca-Cola[sup]TM[/sup]icin’. I’m goin’ all extra fancy and puttin’ pee-kahns in the icin’. Oh and bloody marys. Plus we got him a bottle of his favorite Merlot as a gift.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and need to figure out brekkie for rumbly tummy.
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
I’m showered and dressed appropriately to be seen in public - even wearing my brand new white Reeboks! **FCD **is heading out on his bike - he’ll be back later this afternoon.
I’m without adult supervision!
RT is home. Yay!!!
We got to hang out last night and had some lasagna that I made. Personally I thought it was bland. He said he liked it but I thought it was… lacking. The homemade bread that I froze from when the HFUNs were here was good, though.
Today I’ll be shopping for more clothes for school, making more sculptures, and hopefully seeing RT again tonight.
Ok, I’d better go because my computer is about to die since I forgot to plug it in last night. Hope everyone has a good day!
Holy bloody freaking heck. My mother is going way, way off the rails, and phoning and emailing everyone she knows and saying the most rambling, manic, nonsensical, disturbing things. She just phoned my dad and asked for my former clarinet teacher’s phone number. Yes.* My former clarinet teacher’s phone number.* WHY??!! Of all the people my mother doesn’t need to bother the hell out of*, she really doesn’t need to bother my clarinet teacher. (My mother has a computer. I really, really hope she never discovers that it’s actually quite easy to look up someone’s phone number online! though she does know how to use a phone book. My teacher’s number is in the phone book. Shit.)
My mother is starting to not only bother me, but to scare the fuck out of me. It’s not that I don’t like or don’t want to deal with mentally ill people. I’m a little screwed up in the head myself. I go to a class for mentally ill people, but they’re not scary. They don’t frighten the guts out of me.
I try to hang onto the good things in life. I guess I have some things to look forward to. I’m going back to work on Tuesday, and I think it’ll be a good week. Maybe I’ll make some cookies for work. And next weekend I’ll be going to a party, and maybe a concert too.
No matter what insane, crazy, disturbing-as-hell things my mother does, at least I still have some shreds of mental health of my own that I can hang onto, for now. My mother’s life is her own, not mine. I just hope that my mother’s off-the-rails actions won’t affect me too much.
*Frankly, this list of people she doesn’t need to bug includes everyone in the world, but yeah.

Blurfy morning… uhhh… afternoon. Didn’t get up until about 12, because I didn’t get to sleep ‘til after 4, due to noisy neighbours. Nuttin’ I have to do today though, so I figured I’d let myself sleep in.
I am s’posed to be going bee wrangling soon, but it’s wet, so they probably won’t open the hives. Might go anyway, just to sit in the hut, drink tea, and talk- it’s generally pretty interesting, if anyone else shows up.
Up, caffeinated, and off to irk in a bit. Rainy here, too.

In the I’ve never done that before dept: Going to the funeral today wearing jeans, sneakers, & a poooshirt (well my nice dark siut that’s in the closet would require a 15 hr drive & two trips thru customs.)
blurf.
need coffee.
back later.
Midget, it might be time to consider getting a restraining order.
Hmm, I hadn’t thought of that, but thanks for the idea.
Of course, if I got a restraining order, or did anything else to displease my mother, she might go back on her decision to give her car to me (she can no longer drive.) Bah. I don’t know what to do.
And if I had a restraining order, she might still call/email people who know me, and goodness knows what would happen.
I guess I’ll wait and see how things turn out. My dad is currently visiting my mom in her apartment. I’ll wait for him to get home and see how things went.
I gotta work on music and crafts today.
I took the day off from the internet yesterday to work on a rag rug. It is killing my hands. Cut up t-shirts are not as forgiving as yarn if you chain too tightly. Did not skim, so I hope nothing earth-shattering happened in the last few pages.
Saw the long-awaited Kickstarter-backed Rifftrax Live of Starship Troopers Thursday night. It was high-larious. However, my brain hurt very badly at the end when (and I won’t spoiler-box this because it is an extremely bad movie and doesn’t deserve it) Denise Richards gets bugstomped through her right shoulder and then five minutes later is using that arm to hold a machine gun and shoot up all the bugs in a five-mile radius. :smack::smack::smack::smack: Also, I was picking out tactical errors in the movie, and I am in no way affiliated with the military. I do wanna read the book now, just to see what was supposed to be going on.
rosie’s sig! I’m off to my rag rug again.
