I am feeling absolutely overwhelmed after Kindergarten Parent orientation tonight. Having twin 5 year olds with two different teachers and two different routines is not going to be easy. My nerves are frayed and my stomach is in knots thinking about it.

My dad’s having his knee replaced in the morning. I’m kind of a spaz about it right now and (maybe I’ll just shorten my SO’s nickname to RT) RT spent the last hour trying to entertain/calm me down about things. I don’t know when I’ll be able to post tomorrow but I’ll let you all know what’s happening.

Internet connectivity SUX @ hotel; haven’t read because of it. Sunday was a sad day but a very nice tribute to him on Sun evening; weather hasn’t been great for flying but a good local crew & otherwise fun.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a muggy 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 85 and rain. Rain for the next four or five days in fact. We had tstorms last night. I have to go over to the east forty for a while this mornin’. Hopefully the rain will hold off until early afternoon like it’s supposed to since I’ll be back at the orifice then.

Well and truly made me LOL! Tho I had to do it quietly, as my sweetie is still sleeping. Very funny nonetheless! 
It’s a grand and glorious 64° with a nice breeze and wonderfully low humidity! The house is open! I slept well, except for being awakened before 6, but I can deal - I got almost 6.5 hours of sleep, so yay!

Today, we’re meeting with our financial planner at the credit union. We should start setting up the assorted accounts to ensure we can continue to live indoors and eat regularly. We created a spreadsheet to estimate our fiscal future, and the nice thing about Excel - when you screw up, it’s spectacular!!! At one point, our projected liquidity was over THREE MILLION DOLLARS!!! :eek: Turns out we got a formula wrong, then carried it into the outyears, resulting in our fortune!
Anyway, after much tweaking and estimating and guessing, we’ve arrived at what we believe is a reasonable projection of our future income and reserve funds. When we assign the final amounts to the various accounts, we can use it as a guide to help manage our money. By breaking up each year into months and comparing what we budgeted to what we actually spend, we should be able to have some fun in retirement without worrying every day about paying the bills. Plus in 2031, the mortgage is paid off, so that’ll be like a monthly raise. We shall see how it all plays out.
So that’s the big plan for today. That, and I need to empty the dishwasher.

I has a first world problem. I ated too much sushi last night and am still feeling too full.
I had one meeting today and now someone wants to move it to next week. Nothing to do all day again! BLURF!
