Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 83 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. It was kinda stormy last night. Woke me up once even.
Rosie I have this mental image of a bunch of folks lyin’ on their backs lookin’ at clouds. One says, “I see a duckie.” One says, “I see a horsie.” You say, “I see a baby elephant fartin’.”
Apes them swampbears* are pretty gay from what I’ve seen.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
*[sub]WHAT??? I’M GAY?!?!?!
It just never gets old![/sub]
According to the thermometer outside my garage door, it’s 57° in my back yard. That explains why I woke early and needed to throw an afghan on the bed! I wasn’t expecting it to get that cool. But yay anyway!
Got a call last night from the little store where I sell my stuff - a special order for a tea towel. Luckily, I have 2 hemmed towels ready to go, so I’ll just stencil them both and take them over on Monday. I should buy and hem another batch of towels.
Today is, theoretically, a crabber day. We’ll see if anyone on my list goes out this time. Other plans include doing some laundry and maybe pulling some weeks. I’ll figure it out as I go along.
But the day will start slowly - I’m out of Diet Coke, so no caffeination for me. Perhaps I should add a shopping trip to my to-do list…
I always rather liked ‘gay as a wood elf’, but then I do read far too much fantasy.
Overslept today- it’s raining, so I can’t do stuff down the allotment like what I was planning. Should probably spend the day sortin’ stuff out for the upcoming move, but I have a bad case of the dontwannas. I should have measured it out, 'cos I’m not wholly sure what furniture will fit, which is sort of important.
Hey Mooooooom, I passed through your 'hood last night and honked. Did you hear me? I went to Wrenchburg to buy a second hand safe. Need it to store my fortune previously hidden under the mattress; when I counted it last, the total was $2.39.
Have an early morning irk meeting that is garunteed to be a CF. Joy. Not. But today is my Friday so that is good. No plans for the weekend except to NOT go to my guberment bosses’s yearly luau bash. I have gone the last 3 years, been the only one from my team there, I ain’t gonna do it anymore. So there.
Today I will blurf. After that I’ll run. Next I’ll work on making some sculptures for upcoming shows. After that I’ll go visit my dad. And, finally, I’ll freak out about going to meetings tomorrow at school with my mentor teacher and trying not to look or act like too much of a dork.
It’s a beautiful sunny cool 62 degrees with a projected high of 76. Too cool for August but I’m not complaining. Perfect weather as far as I am concerned.
No idea what I am doing today other than irk, pet sitting and sending some more papers to the mortgage company, that involves hand written letters that must be signed and scanned. PITA.
I will be so happy when I have a real office that doesn’t involve rolling desks around and/or carrying the computer over to the printer. I have to run to the store sometime and write up some stuff for the girl next door.
My BoA account lets me download my statements so I can just download and send. I can’t find anyway to do that with M&T, so I have to print the statements and then scan them. Even bigger PITA, which wastes ink and paper. I need to buy ink.
Some programs allow you to “print to file” converting your file to pdf something similar instead of actually printing. You might want to check to see if you can do that.
cold enough for a light sweater this morning, but I didn’t grab one, partly because it’ll be sunny and 75 later, but mostly because I don’t own a light sweater.
I didn’t even notice how cool it was this morning until after I got into the car and saw the outside temp. I was just happy not to be sweating as soon as I left the house.
The VCTPMO decided I needed new garage door fixins to the tune of $800. The door itself is fine, but everything else (spring which sprung, rollers which were worn, and motor whose gears were basically stripped) needed to be replaced. Next to go will be the washer. The dryer has been making sick sounds for over a year, but still dries.
Rosie, maybe Mooom can knit you a light sweater.
Ems, I always say “gay as a 3 dollar bill” which makes no sense.
Bosmerdon’t strike me as any gayer than the other mer. (Yes, I play far too much of the Elder Scrolls, don’t judge me!)
I’m debating what I want to do today. It suddenly got cold up here and I had to get my pullover out of the closet. In August. I love the mountains.
After this cuppa joe I’m going to venture into the Westside to have Misha the Tailor fix my irk uniforms and then I’m coming home to cut up a couple more t-shirts. I started the rug last night and it’s a lot easier than I expected. I’ve learned the importance of a cutting board for fabric, though. Also the importance of cutting these things on the counter rather than on the desk so I don’t have to bend so much. My back was *killing *me last night.
I once crocheted a very nice sweater-jacket that was absolutely perfect until I tried to put it on and the sleeves burst off because of my fat arms. I don’t make sweaters anymore, either.
Well, my three mile run turned into a five mile walk because my right leg was kind of pissed off in general. Now I’m showered and trying to convince myself to go make some stuff. Somehow taking a nap sounds like a much better idea.
Oh, and I’m considering getting layers cut into my hair again. I think this marks insanity on my part as I asked for them to be cut out the last time. However, I’m thinking until my hair gets considerably longer again that I really would look better with them rather than without them.
Looks like I need to put up a “NO WHININ’” sign again. Whine, whine, whine all mornin’ long. I just told the phone not to ring anymore. Maybe that’ll work.
I’m ready to unleash a box of pointy stick wieldin’ Sri Lankan spiders.
