I can think of maybe two women I’ve been attracted to and have been willing to fuck in my lifetime. I love men and am very strongly attracted to them. Both of these women are very good friends of mine. One is very straight, married with a kid. The other is a bi stripper. If we were drunk enough and the circumstances were just right… I’d probably do the stripper. I’d be more inclined to do it as a threesome so there’s penis involved.
But random stranger I met in a bar and just hit it off? Mmmm… nah, probably not. I might go up for a nightcap, but I would make it explicitly clear that sex would probably not happen.
Ah - I remember that poll, I might even have voted in it. I’m not sure the two are equivalent - not that the behaviour itself isn’t equivalent, but my reaction to men hitting on me and women hitting on me is very different; I find men much more threatening, and men hitting on me happens much more often, so I’m much less likely to react positively to strange men inviting up to their room.
I have no idea where I am on the Kinsey scale… I identify as a straight female because I have only ever had sex with men. Plus, I have never met a real woman in real life and thought, “hmmm, I’d sure like to kiss her.” I played sports in college (in D.C.), so there was no shortage of willing women if I wanted to experiment, had I been inclined.
Having said that… my response is a resounding, “hell yes.” I have always had a bit of a fetish for… I don’t know how to describe this… not really anonymous sex, but more like no-strings attached/one night stand sex. I have not done this often, and certainly not since I started dating my now husband. But the thought of it does make me… well… tingly.
This is really not a very well designed poll, especially not if you’re planning to compare the results to the other thread.
This scenario doesn’t have a woman making an overt offer, though. You say yourself in the OP that she’s subtle. She’s using a fairly well-known line, but it’s not a crudely worded request for sex like the one used by the hypothetical man in the other thread. Several of the people in this thread have apparently taken the line about etchings at face value, because they’ve said they’d want to go to this woman’s house to see her art collection.
Your poll doesn’t actually say the straight woman is tingling at the thought of having sex with the other woman. Since you also specified that the other woman is some sort of celebrity then a straight woman might be “a little bit” excited in a totally non-sexual way at the thought of hanging out with a famous person, or at seeing her artwork.
I’m speculating if it gets to the point where you’re feeling tipsy and your stripper friend is willing, finding a male volunteer is not going to be an insurmountable obstacle.
I’m bi. I’m not interested in one night stands, so I wouldn’t be up for sex. But I would like to go to her place to talk some more and maybe make out.
