Another Hair-Related Topic, or "I've always wanted to do it with a redhead"

I never really thought about it before, but I’m attracted to red haired women, especially if it’s approaching auburn, is thick and at least shoulder length.
Green eyes are a plus, with blue the runner up. And translucent milky skin; Oy Vay!

All the above is my definition of a perfect red head. I’ve known two in my life.
If this decribes you, you are beautiful, sight unseen!

now, having said that, let me also say that I am very happily married to a brown haired, blue eyed gal, and wouldn’t trade her for the world. I also would not be gauche enough to voice any other feelings to any other female, with or without my wife present.
Do I have such feelings? From time to time, you bet! I’m married, not dead. Do I act on those feelings? No; I’m a human being, not an animal.

SO; ignore the jerks with dignity and get on with your life

I find redheads VERY attractive. Always have. I don’t know why, but then again I don’t spend a lot of time analyzing it, either. It just appeals to me.

Gee, it must be tough to have an attribute that attracts the opposite sex. Perhaps Willy Nelson can organize “missdavis102Aid” to provide relief.

Ok, sorry. I guess it’s been a while…

I have had my hair every color under the sun, and I must say once I went red I never went back to anything else. Looking back, as a brunette and with black hair, I tended to attract more sophisticated, quieter types. As a blond I attracted younger, flirtier, carefree types, I won’t get into the manic panic days (i.e. purple, pink, blue streak, etc.) But as a redhead,(burgundy actually) I attract just about all types of men in general, and personally, I think it looks pretty good.

so you found a girl who thinks really deep thoughts. what’s so amazing about really deep thoughts? Tori Amos

I dyed my hair red about a week ago (took 4 hours…don’t ask!) and I tell ya, I have received more compliments on it than I did when I dyed it different shades of brown. I thought I was darn cute before, but now I wonder…

No, stupid, it’s a boat!

Wow…talk about an ego-boosting thread for me! I’ve never had a guy say that “he’s always wanted to do it with a redhead”, but I have had a couple of men in college ask “if the collar and cuffs match”.
A cute redhead joke from another flametop friend:
What’s the mating call of a blonde?

“Ooooh, I’m SO drunk!”

What’s the mating call of the brunette?

“Is that damn blonde gone yet?”

What’s the mating call of the redhead?

(snaps fingers) “Next!!”
Ok, flame away, I’m ready…

If you’re not part of the solution you’re just scumming up the bottom of the beaker.

Prairie, hon, you know we redheads ALWAYS go down in flames.

Of course the reason a lot of men are attracted to redheads has more to do with the carpet than the drapes, if you get my drift.

Actually I can’t believe no one has mentioned this yet.

I’ve never been interested in redheads especially. In fact, most redheads I’ve known have been quite unattractive to me, and I don’t mean physically.

Even so, I’m one of those shy guys who’d never say any such thing to anyone. In real life.

Isn’t it your lover who winds up going down in flames?

I can’t imagine what the boors referred to in the OP are thinking, but I can understand the sentiment. My first love was a redhead, and no one else has been quite the same.

There’s a million fine looking women in the world, dude, but not all of them will bring you lasagna at work. Most just cheat on you.

Yay! We’ve finally worked our way around to the pubes!

When I was in college, my best friend and her then boyfriend (now ex-husband) were discussing me, and she later told me he referred to me as Fire Crotch. How nice. For some reason that just struck me the wrong way, and I never forgave him for it. He’d never even seen my crotch. (For that matter, she’d never even seen my crotch, and yet, there they were talking about it.)

Funny redhead story: When I was little, people would ask me “Where did you get that pretty red hair?” My sister told me to tell them “from the mailman.”

Yay! A redhead thread!

I am a natural redhead (read: collar and cuffs do match). My hair is naturally curly, and I don’t have any freckles.

I’ve gotten some pretty in-your-face sexual remarks about my hair, too. Those guys never did score any points with me.

I have exploited my red-headedness from time to time, but only in fun, and because I do enjoy making fun of myself.

One question before I go–did UncleBeer say something about redheads in another thread that I missed? Where is it? Can I use it as ammunition at the Michigan Doperfest?

Cristi, see the thead about long hair on women. It wasn’t really offensive as it was sort of stated to the group in general and not directed at any one person, but it reminded me that people do say similar things to me personally, which I do find offensive.

Wish I were natural! I started dying my hair red three years ago, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I just think red hair is too beautiful to give up. Besides, people assume it’s natural because my eyes are the same color as my hair, so I guess I can get by with it. I’d feel a lot more authentic if “collar and cuffs” matched…wait, can you dye your…eh…but that’s for another thread altogether.
Regarding the OP, I’ve never gotten any overtly sexual comments on my hair color. So I guess I have to really contribute…sorry about that.

MissDavis, all I can say is I am indeed sorry that I did not make it to the Atlanta gathering to meet you, red hair and all.

Jeffery

Red hair is nice - especially if it’s really red and not auburn. (Just me.) Of course any other hair color will do, and my big turn on is probably a slight edge to brunettes.

As for guys coming up and point-blank telling you they’d like to do a redhead, I think it’s rude and would never do so. But then I think it’s odd all the crude things guys will blurt out to women, and the women then go home with them. So maybe they are hoping you’ll give them a shot, just to fill the tally card.

But what do I know about women, dating, and picking up chicks?

I personally have always been atracted to red-headed women, but it is just an issue of personal likes and dislikes. In and of itself, it is no more than prefering any other personal coloration or physical feature
(tall/thin/plump/busty/athletic ect)

I’ve never actually dated a redhead, although two of my best female friends have red hair, one by nature, one by choice. The one who colors her hair does so from a natural blonde, originally due to “not being taken seriously” in a professional capacity.
