Urk? The only “huge part of the board” you’re going to miss are his individual posts, which are the very thing you’re complaining about. The whole argument reminds me of a man complaining how bad the food is here, “And the portions are too small, too!”
Anyway, it’s just a suggestion. But if you get more milage out of umbraging for having to read them, it’s your dime. But Liberal pays the same as everyone else to post here (unless the moderators just keep him around as a mascot) and unless he’s violating rules, the fact that his bizarre, profane koan-like responses makes gives you a pain in the gulliver isn’t really grounds for an effigy burning party. Heck, it doesn’t even make for an especially inspired rant, though I have enjoyed black rabbit’s spoofs quite a bit.
Have you tried the ignore feature? It ruins my enjoyment of the board.
Somehow is seems that it’s always the responsibility of those of us who get frustrated with Lib to adjust, rather than him just trying to… be a human being. I don’t expect normalcy from any Doper, just less than assholish behaviour the majority of the time. I guess I’m fucked for expecting **Liberal ** to hold himself to the standard he wants to hold the rest of us to.
At first, I actually thought his replies were making fun of those spam emails you get that are just nonsensical jumbles of phrases that don’t really go together, but when you try to read them, it brings the funnies.
Oh, I’d say it’s worth complaining about. It’s true that it doesn’t amount to a “huge part of the board,” at least for me, but it’s also more of a matter of simply Ignoring the posts. They destroy threads.
I can’t tell you how many times I’m merrily enjoying a thread, only to read one of his posts, and I immediately bail out of the thread and never return, because I know from experience the discussion is now derailed.
Sure it’s not breaking any rule, (well maybe the jerk rule), but if a poster continually dismantles interesting discussions so completely that other posters know full well that the thread is over after they post, well, it certainly gets irritating and Pit threads sure seem worthy to me. There’s only one other poster I know of who consistently does the same thing, and that’s Lissener.
Read post, confirm name, leave thread. I’d call that pretty annoying.

And I placed that question mark in there, because, at times I’m not sure if you’re even pretending – as in the infamous “I’m dying thread.” Not only wacky as shit (never mind that I then had to put up – and put-down – with the sanctimonious, can’t-get-over-his-own-brilliliance, Spiritus Mundi).
In short, dude, we’re about the same age, but at times it appears to me one of us hasn’t bothered to grow-up yet.

I’m not really familiar with any of the history involved-- and I don’t particularly care to be-- but I’ll agree with the OP that the posts in question are annoying as fuck.
Lib seems to need to have an “all about me” trainwreck thread from hell going on about every two months or so. If he doesn’t, he resorts to goofy irritating posts in hopes to initiate a Pit thread about Himself.
I wonder if there is an actual historical accuracy to this statement. Apparently there was an “issue” that has since been fixed, yet he still felt the need to post. I have to say that this reeks of attention starvation. There is no fucking way that those posts were meant to just blend, or even provide insight.
It seemed to me that your post implied at least some level of responsibility for the existing of such threads as a response to the “need” you identified as Liberal’s, and that the existence of the thread was an intended consequence of his “goofy” replies in other thread. I don’t feel that your implication is entirely supported by reality.
