Another one of these - critique my profile

I finally got off my ass (so to speak) and wrote up a profile on OKCupid. It probably sucks at least a little, so, please rip it to shreds for me along with my self-esteem. =^.^=

I like it. The only thing I’d suggest is removing/softening the “cooking for someone” sentence - kinda sounds, desperate or something. Adjectives fail me.

A woman cooking for a man is a big thing, I think. You’re in her home, she’s being domestic. If a woman invited me into her home to cook me dinner, I’d assume I was of great interest to her and I’d be very surprised if penis didn’t ensue for dessert.

I thought it was good. I’m not a dude but I’ve read plenty of geek dude’s profiles, and they’d all be clamoring to get that kind of geek cred in a chick.

You’ll be fine - now you just need to not blow them off when they try to put the moves on you

As a geek dude, hell yes. Sadly, OKCupid says you’re a 66% match, STG. I only deal with 75% or better. snooty

I know my opinion is biased, but I think it’s extraordinarily charming – I think you’re likely to reel in a lot of folks based on that.

Well, I wouldn’t go with you anyway - you’re too far away. </snooty> =^.^=

I’m a married guy and I think your profile is absolutely perfect! There are plenty of guys out there who are 99.9% compatable with you - I know a few of them. I think the question comes in, how are YOU going to deal with so many dates? Post back when that becomes a problem! A good problem to have for someone your age.

Charming, attractive, bound to get responses.

Under the “rip it to shreds” request in the OP, may I point out that if you specify

You have good grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and understand why otherwise is a turn-off.
then you should proofread. On a quick skim I found…

[li]when I say some lewd, rude, or foul[/li][li]I’m usually my worse critic[/li][li]that’s turn-on[/li][li] go withdrawals sometimes[/li][li]You probably could’ve guess that one[/ul][/li]Have fun, play safe, etc.

Hey, at least they’re, um, properly punctuated! (Thanks, I’m fixing those now)

(I’m not a complete bitch about it, but I expect a certain amount of, well, paying attention.)

My only comment would be that the line “Everyone seems to expect me to be this innocent little angel.” seems to express frustration. If that’s what you want that’s fine, I mention it because some people like to keep it all cheery.

but thumbs up. I love how you clarify that you are not a vegetarian.

I’m almost twice your age. I wish I had this tool when I WAS your age. Because I would have called you based on that profile.

Bon chance.

+1

It worked for me!

If I weren’t a living fossil I’d be stalking you as we speak.

Er you forgot to mention what colour underware you’re wearing…pant …gasp…!
