Another Outlook question

A buddy at work has his Outlook set up so that whenever an email has his name in the “To:” list, the subject line is displayed as red in the top pane. He cannot remember how he did that and I have looked everywhere and can find no setting that would do anything remotely like this. Anyone know?

I am using WinNT 4 and a recent version of Outlook (can’t remember the exact version (this is at work and I am home now).

If it’s the same as Outlook Express in this respect, go to Tools > Message Rules > Mail… You can then click on the rule “When the subject contains people”, click the action “Mark as watched”, then in the bottom pane click the highlighted “contains people” and then enter your name into the new window.

  1. Select a message from the person

  2. Click the Organize button (or Tools>Organize)

  3. Select Using Colors

  4. Select the color you want

  5. Click Apply Color

Yep, that’s it! Many thanks, NGNL
