I’ve tried changeing fonts and that dosen’t work. I once in a while get emails from people where the whole line desription shows up in red in my in box. How do I do that? I also see that some people can do that here when posting. Is it done the same way? what am I missing here?
Try this:
View --> Arrange by --> Current View --> Customize Current View --> Automatic Formatting
Check to see if there are any rules there to set the color. I used them for specific messages (e-mail from my boss are in red), and they may have gotten set accidentally.
Also, if you have a “completion date” set that is past due, your line will be colored red.
I haven’t noticed any red subject lines here. The mods might be able to code it for important messages, though.
I’m using Outlook 2000 and its view formatting only allows for color change of preview item text, not outgoing subject lines. But thanks anyway, I’ve never even looked at that menu, but can see that it could be useful.
It appears that the people that have been doing this are back dating thier response due dates so that it shows up in red when they send it out. Quite sneaky, think I’ll start doing that myself. Thanks for help.
I’ve only seen a couple of post here show up in different colors. Perhaps they get told not to do it again because it’s a rare occurance. But I’m sure I’ve seen it here.
