I figured as much, but I like Burress better than Moss.
Rosters that require attention:
Zone Blitz
PHW
Faceisburgers
Og
Come on guys. Literally, takes 1 minute. It sucks when the records in our league become determined by the luck of who gets to play the guy with 3 bye players as starters… so even if you’ve lost interest, could you spare 1 minute a week to keep it more interesting for the rest of us?
Bah, I’ve been waiting to play Chitwood, because I can take over 2nd in the league possibly. But now that I have, my matchups suck the most potent ass that an amateur can buy without a license.
Indy at NE for 3 of my players. Ugh. I need Manning to come up big this week, but we could see a 25 interception day.
Housh at Bal.
McAlister at TB
Winslow at SD (actually, this could be good, with pressure forcing lots of dump off passes and ideally with Winslow under a non-shortbus OC, seam routes)
Maroney at Ind - could be good, but it could end up being some crazy Bellichickian game plan that gets no rushing, or Dillon could steal the TDs.
Parker at Den… not even gonna play him.
Meanwhile, Chitwood has some pretty good matchups. Walker at Pit, Larry Johnson at St Louis (ugh, unless he’s spontaneously decapitated in the first quarter, there’s 25+ points right there), Kevin Jones at Atl…
I’m not conceding this one yet Chitwood, but I’m not digging the matchups. Projected score is me: 82.98 and you:88.60 so it could be good. But I think it’s gonna end up being more like 70/105.
PHW done. I guess we’ll get to see how bad my trade was now, eh?
I was just looking through the league leaders, and Jackson is the 4th highest scoring player of either RBs or WRs. Pretty much the 4th most valuable player in the league. Car is probably the 80th-ish.
Thanks, by the way, for changing up the roster.
I am dissapointed to learn that Larry Johnson was not decapitated in the first quarter, and has racked up 125/1 in 35 minutes. Ugh.
At least Deuce got a TD. I looked up the stats, and I saw 9 carries for like 18 yards. Then it auto-updated with a TD.
Well, on the one hand, I’m about to become the first victim of the Steven Jackson Asskicking Tour, barring some Reggie Wayne craziness tonight that, as a Patriots fan, I’m more than willing to forego.
On the other hand, if I had just started Plummer this week, I’d be looking really good at this point, so it’s my fault anyways. One of these weeks I’ll pick the QB who scores higher… dammit!
The stats aren’t in yet, but I do believe Chitwood just scored at least 700 points.
Now, if I just get like 6 Manning to Harrison touchdowns, followed up by at least 5 Maroney touchdowns, I’m in.
Prediction: Colts 75, Pats 70.
TIKI SCORED A TD!
That is all.
COREY DILLON YOU ARE A TOUCHDOWN STEALING WHORE!
Maroney runs all over the Colts running it down the field, and Dillon gets the goal line carries. Dillon is on Bellichick’s fantasy team.
Nicole Simpson can’t rap. I WANT JUSTICE.
As of this moment (going to the fourth), you’re down 160.66 - 102.78. Just so you know how many more Manning-Harrison TDs you need in the next fifteen
Gah man that really sucks. I’m going to have one of the higher individual scores this season… and still lose.
Well, I put up 105.64 which is a pretty good score. My best yet. But Chitwood just put up the highest score in league history. I’ve had a fairly unlucky schedule, I think - when I put up big points, it tends to be against the people who have a really great week.
Taz could’ve been beaten this week - he only put up 83.52 points, which 4 of us could’ve beaten (assuming the seattle defense can put up 5 points on Oakland tonight which is reasonable). Shows that luck of the draw is a big factor in the records. Not that I’m saying he doesn’t deserve to be on top - he crushes us in raw score if we were scoring that way.
Willie Parker put up 25 points on the Denver defense. Would you guys have started him over McAlister and Maroney? I thought Denver was gonna shut them down. At least Manning remembered that he has that Harrison guy on his team, and he’s pretty good.
Sorry about my lineup not being set. I had a out of town family emergency, which I had no internet connection. When I got back Sunday night it was too late.
I forgot to do the score thing last week. Last week (as in NFL week 8)'s top scores were:
Tazmanian Devils 149.48

This week (week 9)'s top scores:
Chitwood’s Penance 160.66
Court Jesters 119.26
Exploding Pancakes 105.64
The Gridbirds 99.54

I hate having to replace players this late in the season. The player list has already been picked over relentlessly, and it isn’t like I have any players of any trading value other than my starters.
Retro, you’re the commish, right?
Can you at least adjust Og’s rosters to have his best players on? We’re done with bye weeks I think. He just has empty spots on his roster. If he’s not going to touch his roster for the rest of the year, let’s at least fill the spots up. He’s facing me this week, and I certainly don’t want a free win.
In fact, the usual suspsects (faceisburgers, phw, og) could probably use a one time lookover to put their best players on, now that we’re beyond the bye weeks, just to give good competition to the rest of us.
I only have 3 definite starters this week: Manning, Parker, and Winslow. I have no idea what to do with the rest of them.
Housh: Hard not to start him, my second best WR, and the SD matchup is okay - opponents need to pass on their only decent secondary because they’re so good at stopping the run.
Harrison: My best receiver, but Buffalo isn’t the most favorable matchup of the week.
Maroney: Questionable, missed practice Friday. But against the Jets… which could mean 18 yards per carry.
McAlister against Pitt. Good RB, bad matchup.
Braylon Edwards against: Atl - I may actually start him over Harrison. Cleveland is going to pass for 300 yards, and Atlanta will probably run for 200. Atlanta’s pass defense sucks, Edwards is due for a big game, and it’s probably going to be a shootout. Tempting, even though he’s been quiet for weeks.
Addai at Buf. Better matchup than Harrison because they’re going to run the clock out on Buffalo. Tempting…
Stallworth vs Hou. He’s supposed to be 100% now. But he’s had nothing recently. If I start him, he won’t catch a pass, if I don’t, he’ll get 200 yards…
Jones-drew at Hou. Good matchup, but maybe not enough carries.
Chitwood.
Jon Kitna…
over…
Carson Palmer?
