Another sleepless MMP?

Nice relaxed day. The OW had a meeting that took most of it and I basically chilled and got a lot done. Which actually frees up a lot of tomorrow.

I worked, came home. Canes won in OT. Making Jamaican style Bachelor Food for dinner. It’s my Firday.

I hate you
You hate me
We’re a dysfunctional family…

:stuck_out_tongue:

Congrats on your Adulting Badge, Nut!

I’s tired. Been running around all day, prepping for baby Sario’s 1st birthday party tomorrow. Chillin’ for a bit before crashing.

Rosie’s sig to all.

Blurf.

Bah. After fighting off the cold that’s been going round for months, I seem to have finally come down with it just before I go on holiday. Barely slept a wink last night due to bunged up nose. A day of sniffing at customers and downing coffee it is then.

When Higgs stares and food is not evident, it sometimes means “I need to go out and pee.” But it also means “Get me a cookie, dammit!!” She’s not telepathic, but she is predictable.

I slept with Mel again last night and while I woke around 5, I dozed on and off till 6:30, which wasn’t bad at all. Higgs has been tended to and I pulled the last poke roast out of the freezer to thaw for tonight’s supper. It’s a big 'un, so there will be pulled poke for a meal later this week.

The pie is yum! The first slice cut, tho, was a mess. I kinda overfilled the crusts and the excess kinda fused the fluted edge of the crust to the pan. I was nice and took the mangled slice, and **FCD **got a reasonable-looking one. The remaining pie has been in the fridge - chillage should make it easier to serve what’s left.

Today’s plans include ironing my sweetie’s shirts and doing the taxes I shoulda done yesterday. And probably football later. rah. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Sunday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 37 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 62 and mostly cloudy for the day. We are on a warmin’ trend again and highs are goin’ back up to the 70s this week. Weather be weird.

Today is the annual Parish meetin’ over to the church house after deheathenization as well as first Sunday brunch. There will be a chili cook off as a part of all this as today is “Souper Bowl of Caring.” Toss in a couple bucks, eat some chili, vote for the one you like best, and the proceeds go to Neighbors In Need, a local place that does a great job feedin’ folks. Oh, I am bringin’ the pasta sallit I made yestiddy. No chili though. Not everyone likes chili so there will be other foodstuffs available. Anywho, I look for that to take a couple of hours. We will be at the church house a loooooooooooong time today.

Oh and sump’n about a football game I’m supposed to care about is happenin’ at some point.

Happy First Birthday Riobaby!

{{{Nuts}}} feel better soonest.

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I’m going for my adulting badge today. Need to get the tax papers gathered so I can get them done tomorrow, do some cleaning, chase Fluffy Sam with a brush, do laundry, finish reading the LJ Idol entries for this week, finish the hat I started last night, and maybe, just maybe, get some writing done.

Oh, and I need to wash the cat bowls too because Tiny Tabby had a pimple on her chin last night. ick smiley

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today, so I shall clean the kitchen and vacuum.

Happy Birthday, Riobaby!

Feel better, Nut.

Happy birthday, RioKid!

Feel better soonest, nuts!

Up and caffeinating. It will be mostly chillage until I leave for the party. I do need to stop for a CL item in the old town (the birthday /superbowl party is in the town where I used to live).

Happy Superbowl Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

It’s a cloudy 42 outside. Supposed to get up into the 60s on Toosday.
So much for winter, not that I am complaining.

Nothing special to do today. A little laundry to finish. A little cleaning to do. A little irk to irk. Probably time to change the furnace filter.

Happy Birthday RioBaby!

Thanks for the aaa… ahhh… CHOOO!! feel better wishes.

Luckily for me it wasn’t very busy at irk today (probably due to people watching sports happen), and I don’t need to do anything much tonight, so I can have a nice early night and hopefully catch up on sleep. I think I need to do that, 'cos I’m irking again tomorrow, then have to get up at 3am to get the bus to the airport on Tuesday morning, which is no fun at the best of times.

Getting excited about going away though!

Oh, and happy birthday Riobaby!

Nut, enjoy your travels; I know about getting up early, my local airport connects to most of the major hubs in the US, so about 1/3 of the daily flights leave between 0530 and 0700. Hope it all goes smoothly.

Happy first trip around the sun, Riokid. The first 40 or so go by quickly enough; then you stop counting…

No Stupor Bowl party for me, I’ll watch it until/unless it becomes boring, then I can leave it for something more interesting (like the Puppy Bowl).

Have to get dressed to do one indoor soccer game and then come home, make myself presentable and go get Sunday dinner.

Busy busy. I tore the linen closet apart and filled two kitchen bags with sheets and new bed skirts that shall be given away or donated. Most of the sheets are king size and I did fold them up with matched sets. I don’t know if anyone wants used sheets but they are clean and not torn. I had a bag full that are trash. Anyway, the linen closet looks so nice for now.

I took apart my bathroom vanity and filled a trash bag with stuff that will never be used. I lined the drawers with drawer liner stuff. I am not finished with that task yet. Almost though.

I hope to not give out before I get all the floors done today and laundry. Hubby is building an office downstairs so one day I can have the spare room back. I told him no one wants to hear construction tools on a Sunday but it really is the only time he ever makes noise so I guess the neighbors will just have to deal.

I do not care about the Super Bowl but will probably have it on at least. Can’t watch the news anymore as I don’t want to smash the TV. As a Jawgian by birth I guess I want the Falcons to win.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Enjoy your trip**Nuts ** hope you feel better soon and Happy 1st to Riobaby.

If’n one believed in Karma, I am certain that I was a terrible person in a past live. This one is sorely trying. 'Beamer just pitched an enormous fit over a game, then went upstairs and smashed legos and it is all “my fault”. That they are smashed. The game. It just is. Because autistic. I tried throughout to tell him the appropriate level of mad for frustration at a game (seriously, this is a life skill I have to teach him, so I tried. I used “Hulk” for where he was and something much lower for where he needed to be when a game didn’t work out.) I am not crying. Dammit.

Nuts feel better. Lots of zinc and rest.

Butters I am in awe of your re-organization. I aspire to be you.

We’re off to eat breakfast out and drop off prescriptions. Go team us.

Happy first birthday to RioBaby.

Home from deheathenization and a loooooooooooooooooong Parish meetin’. It’s only once a year, but it always seems like it goes on forever! However, I am in da cave in my comfies so there’s that.

well thanks Sunny I am rather proud of the end result.

Hubs has graciously gone to the drug store for me to get reg meds and cough syrup refill. I have agreed to cook so supper shall be poke loin, field or white acre peas and sweet taters baked. I asked for mac and cheese (the Stauffer frozen one) but hubby is certain that cheese constapates him.

His favorite joke is so lame but here goes. What did the Indian say to the white man after first havin cheese? No like em cheese, choke em butt. Not a damn thing funny there but he likes it so I indulge him. I like cheese dammit.

We can’t do chili cook-offs; the spiciest Lutherans get is ketchup. We did do a Souper Bowl but it was a gathering of canned goods for the local food bank. Did pretty good too – for like 45 people we filled two cars with just enough room for the driver and passenger.

Did some shopping after church, got some lunch, watched some Kitten Bowl. Now its just relaxing and waiting for the meat-loaf to bake.

Hubby is off to CA, and then I shall have the ritualistic conversation with the children about what to have for dinner. He’s gone so much right now that I think I’m going to give up on our previous ritual, which was dinner out or pizza when daddy is gone, and just go back to cooking. This is silly.

swampy, the presentation I gave yesterday went well. At least I’m told it was good. Condensing 500 years of history into a 25 minute presentation is not easy. I did the church history mostly hitting the highlights, and had several handouts for further research, if one is interested.

At the bread baking group yesterday we made Swedish rye bread, with orange zest, fennel seed, and anise seed. It’s dense, being as the flour is over half rye, but gread for toast. I had soup for dinner last night, and if you take a slice of the toasted rye and dip it in the soup, you get a tasty combo.

Gpnna be a busy week, I’m having stress on the job, I hope it works out.

Supper was poke loin that was practically pulled poke, cornbread that didn’t rise much - I think the mix was too old - and cuke-onion salad. We’s both stuffded, and there’s enough poke left over to pull and mix with BBQ sauce for dinner later this week.

I knitted and watched *The Barefoot Contessa *- never saw it before, but it was a pretty good movie. Taxes didn’t get done because I couldn’t remember my OPM password and they won’t send it to me till tomorrow, dammit! I opted for paperless, but that means to get the info about my pension payout and withholdings, I need to log in to my account.

Dammit. So I’ll try to finish it tomorrow. Still not sure if we’ll get a refund or owe…

Time to reassume the knit position. Thus endeth my weekend.
