Well, back from the party. BabyRio had a blast, she ended up covered head to toe in cake.

What does it mean, “Kitten Bowl”?
I think I’m supposed to be all excitated about sump’n on teevee right now but I can’t remember. Plus I’m kinda tahrd. It was all I could do to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down the driveway to the road. WOE! Really, I feel like I could go to sleep right now, but I won’t.
CupCakes glad the presentation went well. You did a lot better than me. I think I woulda just said, go to google, search Episcopal church history and knock yourselves out. Or check out some you tube videos. I’m sure they’re out there. Then again I am a slacker.

flytrap I will readily admit I buy a cornbread mix which is different from a corn muffin mix. Cornbread mix is not sweet but corn muffin mix is sweet. Cornbread mix is just corn meal with the stuff that makes the bread rise mixed in with the meal.

What’s the difference between me measuring dry ingredients or buying pre-measured ingredients in a box? Similarly with pie crusts. I know I can make crusts. I’ve made crusts. I choose to buy frozen crusts because I don’t like making my own crusts. Big Fat Hairy Deal!!

I did a load of laundry, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen, fridge, and litter box, and napped. I’m watching curling on NBCSN, instead of the Super Bowl(But Go Falcons!)

flytrap Martha White and White Lily make a perfectly acceptable self-risin’ corn bread mix. No worse than usin’ self-risin’ flour.
Grandmother never used a corn bread mix! Neither does Mrs. Plant (v.3.0)
Mrs. Plant (v.2.0) put sugar in a cornbread mix. She wasn’t from around here.

FTR, I usually make corn bread from scratch, but I occasionally use the Marie Calendar mix, because the boy likes it. I add a few things while he’s not looking (it’s a little too sweet). I also make my own biscuits, but I usually use a store bought pie crust. I wasn’t raised that way mind, but what my mother doesn’t know won’t hurt her.
Nah – silly would have been to point out we’re both Protestant, in Full Communion, and residents of coastal states that formed the original Thirteen Colonies. But my fall-back whenever I want to duck a silly question is the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
And if it bugs Flytrap all the better.
