Another sleepless MMP?

Sure! Just point me in the right direction. First one is free. After that I charge in dog biscuits.

Thanks for the “welcomes” guys.

I worked, and came home. Making curried fish and cauliflower. And beer.

I came home and did some laundry, caught up on the news. Had many beers. Hubs had leftover soup and I had hot dogs. Tarhred.

I don’t care. In my dream, she was quite fetching. And she’s younger than me!
And Allison Janney was in there too.
Usually I don’t remember my dreams at all. Sheesh!

Had haluski for dinner. It was good, but I’m thinking I should have used kielbasa instead of smoked chicken sausage.

Doggio, curried fish and cauliflower? How is that done?

blurfage. Slept some but not enough to totally alleviate the deficiency. Had to get up once to pee and another, just now, to let the cat in. She irks the night shift.

While up, I started the coffee. 'Tis chilly by our sub-tropical standards. It is currrently 61F degrees.
I shall probably go back to sleep for a bit. Feels a little like Groundhog Day which it will be in two days. Since we have no groundhogs down here in the bedrock, I shall await the prognosticators from up north.

Happy last day of January!

Blurf.

I had an awesome night out watching my favouritest ever band…sang my little socks off all the way through. I met up with a friend (who I hadn’t known would be there) so the three of us were standing together watching shenanigans onstage. She commented afterwards “you really do know every word of every song, don’t you?” Sadly, that be the truth!

I hung around afterwards to collect a signed CD from the guitarist who has just released a solo instrumental disc, he was the last one to appear to I had to while away the time chatting to the rest of the guys while I waited for him. Such a hardship.

Anyways, got home late, went to bed, couldn’t sleep…so am very tired this morning, have a long day at irk and then I’m off to the gym for my PT session tonight. I would like to think I will wear myself out enough to sleep tonight, but since I also suffer from the hot and cold thing in the night, I doubt it very much. Ho hum.

When I left work yesterday, I was working on a true drawing from hell that was choking my machine. We shall see if it goes any better this morning. I’m not optimistic.

Since it’s the last day of the month, we’ll have to close out one time card, then open another for tomorrow. I’m sure it’s an accounting thing, but mostly it’s just a pain for us peons.

C’mon, Firday! Happy Tuesday!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Hockey after work.

It’s just Bachelor Food. seasoned with curry powder, onion powder, garam masala, and a touch of ground Ghost Pepper, for heat.

Butters, just to make sure the groundhog doesn’t see his shadow, I say we chuck a pound of C4 into his burrow.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 44 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 72 and N.O.S. for the day. Right now I have the heat on in da cave. This afternoon I will be able to open windows. Weather be weird.

No real big plans for the day. I may go over to the church house to assist with puttin’ some food boxes together. I left it as call me if you need me. I need to launder a load of towels and undies as well. Oh and make cole slaw and baked beans for tonight’s dindin but that won’t take long. The fries are the frozen kind one bakes in the oven so no biggie there either. The poke has been shredded and will just need warmin’ up. Have I mentioned lately I really like this retirement gig?

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose purtification and laundry should commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Day started good with waking up at 0630 and immediately rolling over to go back to sleep since, hey!, I’m retired, I don’t have to get up. Which then hit a snag as my kidneys signaled hey! You’d damn well better get up! So I did.

Notice in my e-mail that I’m due for my annual physical checkup in early February, so need to schedule that. I escaped last year having them schedule me a colonoscopy, but I think they will catch me this year. Oh joy.

Raisin bread to break fast in a bit, then we’ll see what the day provides.

I would like to thank FairyChatMom and the other little people.

Happy Toosday!

It’s a bright and N.O.S. 26 degrees outside with a high of 35 predicted.

Like MetalMouse, I slept until 6:30. However, I didn’t go to bed until after 2 so I will be feeling it later.

I checked the weather for Moonday and it is supposed to be freezing rain and snow. I’m going to call the doctor and see if I can change my appointment. I wish I didn’t like my doctor so much, then I’d be more inclined to find a doctor up this way.

I have to buy a birthday gift for my mother. I’m thinking about a pair of Sloggers, although last year I sent her Sherries Berries (mini cheesecakes and chocolate dipped strawberries) and she loved it. Of course with my niece and her 4 boys there, she doesn’t get very much of it. I sent a text to my niece asking if she can find out my mother’s shoe size. It could take hours for her to get back to me.

I’m thinking about buying a pair of Sloggers for myself.
I really shouldn’t watch QVC, but when I do find something I like I go out on Amazon to see if it is cheaper there.

I can’t decide if tonight will be taco night or meatball sub night.

I need to wash a load of towels today and I am all caught up on laundry.

Other than that, SSDD.

After not sleeping well on Sunday, last night I knocked myself out with some NyQuil and slept like a baby. I have lots to do this week, so being rested is important.

I believe it’s about 14 degrees here in the Lesser White North, but sunny and only a little windy. Snow tomorrow, but not a lot of it. I read somewhere that we were lacking at least a foot of snow from average January totals. I’m okay with it not snowing until I get a new job that lets us stay home on snow days.

Up and been active a while. Big shake-up where the OW works so the next several months are going to be interesting for both of us. And as I’ve said before, at out age interesting isn’t fun.

Great thrills here <---- note the sarcastic tone.

I learned how to submit work orders. Can you say tedium? I’m also supposed to go out on the floor and find someone to give me a shroud that goes over a winch over a helicopter door so’s I can model it. Sounds like a dirty job, and me in khakis today.

Tell me again why I like this job??

I got an email this morning from my pre-retirement boss. He always remembers my b-day, altho sometimes a little late. Obviously, he lurves me!

bumba, you made me hungry. My grandmother used to make galusky (she was PA Dutch and Grandad was Polish, so they were basically a northern European quick noodle variant) and I haven’t had any for years. The last aunt who made them recently passed, so unless I make them myself, I doubt if I ever will again.

BooFae, what was the band that you went to see?

metal mouse, I can sympathize. This is my year to have a camera up me bum too.

I’ve actually found a project to work on during cricket time today. It’s one that isn’t really sensitive to month end, so I can fill in whenever.

When I was paying bills last week, I noticed that I hadn’t received a light bill yet this month. I emailed the electric co-op and they said that they hadn’t sent the one for January yet. :dubious: At least I know the issue isn’t on my end and what it will be.

Up, semi-caffeinated and fed. I’m only semi-caffeinated 'cause the doctors told me to quit drinking coffee. I compromise by drinking half-caff in the morning and decaf at night.

In a few minutes I will climb on my ancient stationary bike and do my customary 5 miles in 25 minutes. It makes my heart happy. It does remind me of the fact that half-hour TV shows are only about 22 minutes long when you skip over the commercials though. :dubious:

I need to decide on something for dinner in case I need to defrost something. It doesn’t matter what I plan as Wifey has gone back on Weight-Watchers and will complain about it, whatever it is. I think I’ll get out a couple of turkey burger patties and buns. I can make cole slaw as a side. She won’t want the bun, but it’ll work.

Doggio, have you ever made currywurst? I made it once and liked it but Wifey told me to never make that again.

Buy Weight Watcher’s TV dinner for her, and Hungry Man TV dinners for you.

The plan was such that I’d be able to personally update you on Phil’s prognostications but unfortunately that has changed. Part I am sad about & part I am mad about; iffn I get some time I shall be back to vent about it. Hey, that’s one of the main purposes of the MMP, right.

Howdy Y’all! I laundered, helped with food boxes and have dindin underway. Go Me!

Wednesday is supposed to be bright and N.O.S. so whatever critter sticks its haid out will see its shadow I suppose. So I guess that means we’ll have six more weeks of Winter rather than Spring comin’ in just six weeks. If’n you don’t want to celebrate snausage on Wednesday, you can always celebrate Candlemas. Or just eat some snausages and pancakes. That’s always good.
