Another sleepless MMP?

Another thing about getting older (notice it’s oldER, not old) is that having learning thrust upon me is annoying. I’m not in school anymore.

Optional learning is fun.

Truck day, and I had to leave earlier than planned due to payroll.:dubious:

Dunno, What is Airman Doors’s MOS?

Last part sounds like my kind of party.

All my friends are in low places. And I like it that way.:stuck_out_tongue:

I like Tricia’s cooking show. Especially the outtakes when the forgot to film the cocktail segment last thing in the day. And Garth is almost as good as Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson in my book.

You dissing Run DMC?

How much does that take? I have some of the active ingredient in pill format, but it hardly works.

No.

Worse than that. He’s dissing A Tribe Called Quest.

All right, flytrap. It’s time to make like two trailer park girls and go 'round the outside.

Screw it ---- I’m thinking Long Term. But if you insist we can always go with a Daisy-Cutter.

Been there, done that, now we can blow it up real good. Besides, no offense, the Buzzard Festival in Hinkley Ohio is a much better party. Besides, buzzards are just frikkin cooler than whistle-pigs.

I don’t know Swampy

I think this might be more apprpriate

Horse pucky.

Jesus.

This is music.

metal mouse, moving furniture is why you call the carpet cleaning guys. (really, I use the on board tools every week and once a year call the carpet cleaners for the heavy lifting)

I took the lasagne to my friend’s house. I got to meet her new daughter in law and her sister’s husband. Sad but not unexpected.

Blurf.

I had a late night (again) so I’m tired today, not really in the mood for a co-irker who asks questions about every last thing she has to do…even though she’s been here 8 years (and keeps reminding us about that), she doesn’t seem able to keep a simple fact in her head for more than two seconds.

And I have a 1-1 meeting with her this afternoon, I will have to sit on my hands and bite my tongue.

I felt lazy this morning, so instead of packing breakfast and lunch, I stopped at WaWa for a breakfast sammich and a chef salad for lunch. Easy-peasy!

And I figured out how my oven knew the chicken was done. It didn’t. One of the steps when you turn it on is to set the timer. I didn’t, so it just used its default time, which just happened to be enough to cook the chicken. It’s amazing what one learns when one reads the instructions.

Another busy day ahead. What was supposed to be a simple make-a-model-of-the-part turned into design-a-replacement-part. It’s definitely a challenge, considering the space constraints. Plus late yesterday, I realized what I’d started out designing can’t possibly work as is. It’s physically impossible to install the part as I’d envisioned. So I need to do some re-thinking. That should keep me out of trouble for a while.

Oh, yeah, I had a sausage breakfast sammich. Happy Ground Hog Day!!!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. College hockey after work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 49 degrees and foggy out with a predicted high of 75 and partly cloudy, whatever that means, for the day. Ima go to the Pubic sto’ and a couple more sto’s this mornin’ for provisions. Fun times ahead.

Happy ground hawg day! Be sure to eat some snausage. Pancakes and snausages will be dindin at da cave. I took snausage patties outta da freezer and a box of pancake mix outta da pantry so I guess I am now committed.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose purtification must commence bein’ as I am goin’ about the public and must wear leavin’ da cave attire. Alas and alack!

ETA: I reckon whatever critter pokes its haid out this mornin’ will not see its shadow, so only six weeks until Spring instead of six more weeks of Winter.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

The Prognosticator of Prognosticators, the Seer of Seers has spoken - he saw his shadow!
Ruble, the problem with your alternative festival is that it’s in :eek:Ohio:eek:
Did you realize that with one little extra mark “Ohio” becomes “Oh No”. :frowning:

I just take a regular dose, but I can’t take it more than two nights in a row or it stops working. Some people react better than others, I suppose. My best friend can’t take it at all because it has the opposite effect and keeps her up all night.

I’ve never really understood the “six more weeks of winter” thing. It’s effing February. Of course we’re going to have six more weeks of winter. Because winter isn’t over yet. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in a lot of weird shit. I appreciate that Imbolc (celebrated on February 1st) is a celebration of the deep reawakening of the earth, the time when ewes start to get ready for the birth of their lambs, all that stuff. But that doesn’t mean it’s not still going to be cold for another month and a half. Because it’s February in the Northern Hemisphere.

And I always feel bad for that poor groundhog, yanked out of his warm tree and blinking in the sun.

Speaking of rodents, I believe we have a mouse in our house. I am of the opinion that I will leave him alone if he leaves me alone. I shouldn’t have left that rice on the counter, he was well within his rights to try to eat some. But when it gets warmer out, he’d best find somewhere else to live.

It’s sunny here in no. Illinois and 16 degrees. I can’t hate the cold if it’s N.O.S. My foot is feeling better but still bruised between my toes. Miss A. has perfect aim.

Haven’t posted in a while. In emotional and mental turmoil. My life is horrible. I don’t think I can even say much about it here.

Just posting so people know I’m still alive for some reason.

Not looking for sympathy. Not looking for attention. Just posting.

Red, I’ve got wood floors, so carpet cleaning isn’t the problem. I can do the cleaning in shifts and move minimal furniture, I just have to go ahead and start doing it; that’s the hardest part for me–getting started.

No sausage, swampy, but BLT’s are definitely on the menu.

House warming up (I turn the thermostat down to 64F before going to bed), then breaking fast.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s N.O.S. outside and a not so cold 40 degrees.
So far, this has been a very mild winter.

I went to bed at 1, slept until 3:30, and then was up all night until 7ish, and I had to get up before 9. So I feel blurfy.

Now that I’ve changed my dr appt, my phone app says it will be in the 40s Sunday and Moonday.

I got a notice on FB from my cousin. My Uncle’s 75th birthday is coming up and she wants everybody to send her a card for his birthday with a message written inside about him. Nice idea, except this is the uncle who wants me to give him my grandfather’s desk and my grandmother’s ring so he can keep them in the family. I don’t feel like doing something nice for somebody who doesn’t consider me * family*.
I have a month, so that gives me time to change my mind.

Can anybody answer this one? I got a new credit card that allows me to transfer a balance and I have 21 months at 0% interest to pay it off. I have a small loan I want to transfer but the credit card doesn’t show an option to transfer a loan. I chatted with a rep and he said yes I can transfer a loan balance but I need to call the bank who holds the loan to see if it’s okay with them. That makes no sense to me, to call a bank and ask if it’s okay to pay off a loan? I think I’ll call the credit card today, the guy I was chatting with - you could tell English wasn’t his first language and the first answer he gave me didn’t make sense. I had to repeat the question and clarify what I meant.
