Feeling heavy. Had a $10 gift card for Logans’ Roadhouse that was expiring, so I went and had a big chuck of meatloat (2 slices), fries, salad, 4 rolls (they were hot and buttery) and several glasses of sweet tea. Cost me, with tip, less than $10 cash. Expect a short night tonight having taken on more cargo than I’m comfortable with, sleep looks good.
That was the only reason to go out today, light rain (just enough to be annoying without it getting you wet) and temps in the low 40’s made it a pretty miserable day to be outside…so inside is where I am and where I’ll be.
If you grow sage outdoors you have to leave it out over the winter. I brought my sage in a couple of years ago and it died. The one I left outside is still going strong.
That’s good to know, big kitty. I’ve grown some of the others, but never sage. I’m looking forward to having fresh herbs to [del]play[/del] cook with once they get going.
My cat has his moments when he likes for me to pick him up, flip him over and hold him like a baby. I rub his belly a little, scratch under his chin, and he closes his eyes and purrs. Every now and then he shifts a little, settles in with his head under my chin and seems so content.
However, the whole time his tail is whipping back and forth, and that makes me a little nervous.
So what is up with him, or is it just cats be weird?
Going in to work early today so I can get out early.
This is so I can tweak the final form of the presentation I have to get tomorrow morning at a meeting. It’s to a women’s order I’m a member of in my church(Episcopal), on the history of the denomination. I’m comfortable in front of groups, but wonder how organized I’ll appear.
A certain feline is firmly at the top of The List! At 2:44 this morning (yes, I looked at the clock) he was jumping on the doorknob trying to get into the bedroom. It woke me up. I couldn’t fall back to sleep. I ended up watching Match Game 1973 (I think all of the celebrities are dead now) and 2 episodes of some “reality” show where this investigator tries to help a diner owner figure out who his problem children are. I can’t quite figure out how much of it was staged, but it was awful. The alternative was the news, and I wasn’t in a mood for that.
Anyway, I’s tahred and I’ve got lots to do today. Gonna be a long Firday.
But it’s payday, so there’s that. Look for the silver lining, right?
Forgot to add - I FINALLY got an email from OPM about the money I believe I’m owed. It was a real answer, not a canned response. They’ve requested specific documents and information. So yay and about frikkin’ time!
Fingers crossed for a quick and satisfying resolution.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 68 and mostly cloudy for the day. Temps will cool down to highs only in the 50s for the next few days. Hmmm… February actin’ like February, whodda thunk it!
The big plan for the day is N.O.L. at Golden Corral. Also need to take care of some errands. I picture all that happenin’ from late mornin’ into early afternoon. After that who knows.
MOOOOOOM yay! Here’s hopin’ the pay thing gets fixed soonest.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify. OYKW is still abed. I am tryin’ to be good and not disturb. I’m nice like that.
It’s cold outside, a cloudy 29 degrees.
Next week we are supposed to go back up into the 50s.
So much for the snow we were supposed to have Sunday and Moonday. Now it’s predicted to be warm.
I still need to order my mother a birthday gift.
Doggio - Adam Cat is one of those rare ones that really does want his belly rubbed. He doesn’t try to bite or scratch. But that tail whipping makes me nervous.
Nothing special to do today. It’s payday but I already took care of transferring money yesterday. I’ll have to proofread a few papers today or tomorrow. He’s working ahead as much as he can in his classes, he’s discovered it’s a lot less stressful that way.
Taz it a tail-whipper, whether he’s on my desk, or next to me while I knit, or with me when I’m watching TV in bed. It’s annoying because he’s usually facing so that his tail whips my face. It’s just a cat thing, I think.
Crazy morning so far. I’m ready for my lunch break, which starts right about now. So yay!
