Another sleepless MMP?

Sari if Adam cat is purring then you are probably fine. If he stops purring, then stop. Sounds like he’s just a wiggler.

Because of the afore-mentioned “freezing rain” in Orygun, we decided to stay in CA one more day. It’s supposed to turn into regular/not ice rain sometimes today, which should make that 80 miles from the airport a lot more [del]fun[/del] survivable.

Straightened out another paperirk snafu with the benefits folks. They sent me a letter saying that everything was going to be cancelled. I stayed up until 3:30 or later worrying about it. I knew it was a mix up but I just couldn’t NOT freak out. I called them first thing, and, sure enough, the lady barely heard me out before identifying it as a computer error and telling me it would be fixed and that she would call me back when it was done.

So no one was able to get that burrow destroyed? Terrible.

The termite inspection is complete (no termites) and I broke fast with Raisin Bread and White Castles (I do it because I can). Soccer tomorrow then Super Bowl Sunday.

Think I will get up here in a minute and replace the light bulb outside the front door. Or maybe not.

We ran errand, had N.O.L. at GC, then ran a couple more errands. Such a fast paced day has just worn us out! Nappage to be achieved soon.

Home from work. I think it’s colder now than when I went to work.:dubious: Making an early dinner before the game.

We’re going to Red Robin for supper. Then slothage shall ensue.

I think I’m going to go to the March For Science in DC on Apr 22. I’m waiting for more details to be published. Gotta make my voice heard, even if it’s just one in a massive crowd.

We achieved nappage and general slothage this afternoon. Go Us! ‘Tis drizzly and dreary out. A good evenin’ to be inside. Sunday is Brunch Sunday and Annual Parish Meetin’ day over to the church house. I have a buncha boneless chikin boobs thawin’ out. They will be cut into strips and grilled. Some will become dindin tomorrow on top of a sallit and the rest shall be cubed and put into a pasta sallit for Sunday. Sloth today, productivity tomorrow!

Got a call from a cousin today. I talked to him for two hours. I haven’t seen him since we were teens, but we seem to think a lot alike on FB.
I was sorry to hear that he is in a wheelchair now. There is a genetic disease that runs on my mother’s side called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, and he has it bad. I always wondered what it was called and fortunately it seems to have skipped us. Most (if not all) of my grandmother’s siblings had it to varying degrees. My grandmother didn’t have it, so my mother, her brothers, and my first cousins don’t have it.
Anyway, I found out he lives about 5 minutes from my mother so next time I go down I’ll stop in to see him.

I’ll just assume Adam is a tail thrasher and try to ignore it.
His treat ball toy is the best thing in the world for him, it keeps him busy.

Yay Mooommm!

I just slept for 3 hours. Exciting day.

The combination of errands, a big N.O.L., and general sloth has worn us out. We shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

sari, cats is weird. :stuck_out_tongue: Be careful your drink on the end table though, since he’s a tail thrasher. My late cat Domino was responsible for frying at least half a dozen remote controls by knocking a glass of tea over and drenching them.

Bon voyage, emily! Wherever you are, be safe and well.

Mooom, I’ll be marching in Nashville and Sis in Houston, so you’re in good company.

I knocked off right after an early lunch today. I bought groceries, went to Staples for a CO2 cartridge exchange and Tar-jay for way more than I went in for (sale on the K cups that I take to irk). Then I went to Michael’s looking for a 1.5" petal shaped paper punch. They didn’t have any, but they did have them in dies for the hand die cutter and there was a 40% coupon that I just had to use. Now I’m eating the general’s dindin and chilling before all of the projects I need to do tomorrow.

Good night, Swampy.
Goodnight, Dogbutt.
Goodnight, Spiderbutt.
Goodnight, Mom.
Goodnight, Midget.
Goodnight Rosie, where ever you are. :frowning:

Good Night, Irene… oh wait, G’night Jon-plant.

I did go out and did successfully change the light outside the front door. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson “I Mended Something!!!”

I am sorely tempted to do so myself. I owe Washington DC a 2-4 day visit and a 700 mile drive isn’t too bad (check airfare and rental rates). Maybe see ya around the mall.

It’s the weekend!!!

Dinner was blackened chicken thighs. The original intent wasn’t blackened but they turned out that way and tasted good enough that we may do them that way again.

And if DC doesn’t pan out, drive a couple of hours north and join us in Nashville.

I slept with Mel last night and it was good. We’re going to shower and go get some breakfast before starting chores (laundry!! Yay!!!) Um, that **FCD **and me not Mel and me.

It’s about 19° at the moment. I am not impressed. But it is winter, so there’s that.

Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 35 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 58 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Not a lot planned for the day outside of makin’ a pasta sallit for tomorrow and doin’ grilled chikin sallits for dindin. We may go to the little bar down the road for N.O.L. or not. Depends on whether either of us wants to put on goin’ out in the public clothes.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify and get busy dealin’ with chikin.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Late closing shift today. It’s 26 degrees outside.

Be sure to work “Because I’m nice, dammit!” into your sign.

Did you wreck a Reliant Robin in celebration?

It is rumored that the Famous Chef who first made “Blackened Something” drank a bit.

No, but I did drop a piano on a Morris Minor…

Too early in the morning for anything to have happened. Spending the afternoon coaching and refereeing, then need to lay in supplies (Potato Chips) for the Stupor Bowl.

(for those of you who don’t get/watch BBC America, Jeremy Clarkson was a host on a show called Top Gear and the Reliant Robin and Morris Minor were cars he hated so…

I took half a Bendadryl yesterday around 5 and spent the rest of the evening in a drunken haze. Getting some Claritin today so I can breathe **and **be awake.
