Another Sopranos thread - Artie Bucco, CW

The other day I’m re-watching season one’s finale, “I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano,” and I notice the following:

Ater Artie learns from Livia that Tony is responsible for the fire which destroyed the original Vesuvio, he snaps and threatens to kill Tony. Tony talks him down, and Artie winds up chatting with Father Phil. Toward the end of that scene, they have the following exchange (paraphrased):

[ul]AB: I haven’t been to the insurance company.
FrP: Why not?
AB: What if I’m wrong?
FrP: You’re just worried that if you go to the police, you’ll lose your restaurant. You have to be strong.[/ul]End of scene. Next time we see Artie, he’s made peace with whatever murderous rage he was feeling and Charmaine’s happy because the new exterminators are doing a wonderful job. We see later that Artie doesn’t even have a problem letting Tony or Tony’s crew hang out at the new Vesuvio.

I think he took Father Phil’s advice. I think he’s gone cooperating witness and has a whole different kind species of bug in the new restaurant.

Am I stating the obvious? Did this occur to anyone else?

I have a miserable success rate with Sopranos predictions.

I’ll have to go back and review some information before I can give you my SWAG.
