Anthony Weiner: douchebag extrordinaire

Not again!

And Anthony…
When you are asked if you are STILL in any sexting relationships the only correct answer would be NO. Don’t get into a metaphysical discussion about the nature of time and beginnings and endings.
Yes, we know that the scandalous behavior **currently under discussion **happened last year but that wasn’t what the reporter was asking. The question was simple and the answer should be, too.

The only reason I can imagine for this answer would be that you are still engaging in this behavior

No, they just presented his quote in the wrong context. You can see there that he says “it was a year ago,” and the full exchange with the reporter makes it more obvious that he was saying he’s not doing this now.

So, he posts, “Quitting is not how we roll in NYC”. Really? Didn’t you quit the last job you had? And what was that over?

Then he claims, (paraphrase) "I’m going to keep on doing what I’ve been doing…(goes on to talk about focusing on “issues”). Yeah, we know! That’s the problem!

This guy just doesn’t seem to understand. And his mouthpiece! Man, she’s somethin’ else! “Slutbag”! That’s awesome!

I feel all “tingly” when I read what comes out of her mouth…

Weiner’s campaign is imploding. Key people leaving. His spokesperson going on a profane rant.

He’s just about shot his last wad in this campaign.

I think one thing that should be kept in mind with Weiner is that he has no political future to protect anyway, and that before his resignation everyone knew he was going to run for mayor in the next election. So some of the reasons that normally force people out of races don’t apply here. Basically I assume he’ll quit if he runs out of money entirely and that’s it. Nobody expects him to drop out of the race because he’s embarrassed, do they?

Another quote from the person who is supposed to be the voice of the campaign:

People who talk like that should be, like, gagged.

An old joke, yes, but God help me, I find myself sneaking off to the Drudge Report every morning for the newest puerile innuendo headline to dunk in my coffee.

If that means I’m going to Hell, then The New York Times is going with me.

Embarrassment? I think he was born without one.

Please, don’t let him drop out just yet, he’s been instrumental in stimulating the creation of new dick jokes. The genre had admittedly become a bit stale.

Yeah I support him running and staying in it just for the hilarity. I kind of hope he wins too, in a sort of masochistic sense.

A journalists impression of the Weiner intern that’s currently in the news. Quite the shrewd and ambitious young lady. We’ll probably hear more about her in the next few years.

It’s just one cock-up after another.

Yes, he is indeed an endless source of fascination.

What? Google the etymology.

Holy crap. I know I’m late to this point but that incoherently babbling woman is not “random college student volunteer on the campaign”; she is his COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR, the one person who is supposed to take the most care in formulating responses to the media and public. Hiring her appears to be yet another questionable decision from Senor Danger.

“Petitioning thing”? Jesus wept…

Of what? “Fascination”? Couldn’t find anything phallic.

Fascinate is a very dirty word. Srsly.

You really hope he wins?

He clearly has no self discipline. I’d like the leader of my city to have some self discipline, to keep to deadlines, and make things happen, and make hard decisions.

Doesn’t give rat’s ass about his wife, so her sure a hell isn’t going to care about any of his voters.

And he lies as easily as I crew breathe.

And don’t’ tell me that they are all scum. They aren’t. And at some point, se get the leadership we expect. I live here in DC, and the local government is as corrupt as he is and it’s a mess.

I assume you’re referring to this but I’m not sure the linkage is quite a direct as you seem to think; other sources simply define “fascinus” as “spell” with “fascinate” meaning to be bewitched or spellbound.

Thanks. Interesting! Yes, they’re cognates, but one doesn’t descend from the other.
