It is very clear that Weiner wants to turn the mayoral election into a dick measuring contest, in the most literal sense there can be.
Many of them did - because they both got back into politics in this electoral cycle. But the evidence says that’s not why Spitzer lost. Weiner’s campaign was dead a month and a half ago, and Spitzer was leading until two or three weeks ago.
The problem is that Spitzer is actually a major league asshole. While his impulse control is not quite as poor as Weiner’s his arrogance is very likely greater. It is not so great a mystery why we did not want to give him a second chance.
I don’t have much sympathy for Langone; he is easily a Spitzer-grade asshole. But he’s wasn’t running for public office.
Funny that the disgraced former Governor of South Carolina could come back and get elected to Congress in that conservative, family-values state, while the two most prominent adulterers in sinful Sodom-on-Hudson were sent packing by the voters.
The prostitution thing is what made headlines, but Spitzer also sicced state troopers on his political enemies with a brazenness not seen in quite some time.
Even the prostitution thing itself wouldn’t have been so bad – in my opinion – if AG Spitzer hadn’t been so gung ho about enforcing laws against things like sex work.
He was also crashing and burning as governor. Telling the legislature that he was a steamroller who was going to roll right over them was not a great move.
That Wiener’s a real big dick.

Looks like Weiner has penetrated another election. Don the Con says that national security may have been compromised since Weiner’s wife is a Clinton confidante. He says that this is yet another example of Clinton’s poor judgement.
So, Hillary Clinton is damned by something her aide’s husband does, but Trump can say that he’s never heard of David Duke? Nope, no double standard there.
