…or Olympic athletes!
Being away from the board for a few days means I miss all the fun, doesn’t it? Proud Marxist I am.
Would it be OK if they were hard plastic?
No, not according to the customer reviews on the Heritage House website. The kids don’t give two shits about the hard plastic ones, but the soft ones…now that’s an entirely different story. Apparently this customer uses them for teaching abstinence because of the correlation, you know, between the foam fetus and a low teenage pregnancy rate.
I like how she says they feel so “life like”, as if she frequently touches 12 week old fetuses.
Hell, I’m gay and never wanted kids, but I hate fetuses so much I hired three different surrogate mothers to have my abortions, but do I ever get condemned in these threads? NO! And I’m beginning to be resentful
.You’re not going to get condemned for those abortions because you’re a faggot. That’s lower than a baby killer, so condemned is just the default setting for you.
/thread
No, he said “marxisits”. Marxisit is what someone said to Groucho when being introduced at a party.
Jesus Christ on a stick, I don’t see how. I must be misreading this.
Some people feel that the position of the Catholic Church is truly pro-life because, in addition to being against abortion, they are also against the death penalty and most wars, and they support a social safety net to care for the kids born when you ban abortion (and birth control). Most US anti-abortion types have no problem with the death penalty or aggressive war, and are very much against welfare and food stamps, and anything that makes it easier for a person in bad circumstances to raise a child, so they don’t seem very pro-life, more pro-fetus.
Obviously you can argue the Catholic Church isn’t pro-life either, and there’s plenty to support that, but at least they aren’t such flaming hypocrites about the whole thing.
And, of course, an aborted fetus will never grow to become an apple-cheeked altar boy . . . ![]()
Where did this Catholic concept come from, more people to be Catholic, more medieval slaves for Kings and Barons? Is there a scriptural basis?
I am seriously interested. Don’t take this personal, I went to a Catholic High School, and pissing Priests off became part of my daily life. ![]()
Every Sperm Is Sacred.
Then I am in a boat load of trouble.
![]()
Some sort of load, anyway.
A butt load of trouble? Nvm, different thread…
I’m willing to kill another human being, under fairly specific circumstances.
I’m not a Marxist, though. I hate that guy. What a jerk.
Anti-choice is what you’ll get when I become Queen.
You’re 16, knocked up, with no means to support a baby? No kid for you! 35 & on welfare with 3 kids you don’t take care of? Abortion! As Queen, I would have saved the government millions just by ripping Octo-mom’s 8 fetuses from her skanky uterus.
And FTR, lest you think I’m a bad person, I would not discriminate between white and ethnic fetuses. I’ll be an equal opportunity killer.
I give you credit for trying to have a reasonable conversation about this in a crowd where obviously the sentiment slants heavily in one way.
I get tired of trying to engage people who are so gullible that they will mindlessly parrot abortion industry slogans about how pro-lifers are all “anti choice” and “don’t care about born people”.
Myself, I am against abortion. I’m also a vegetarian who does volunteer work with a group that tries to preserve natural habitats in my community. I’m a doctor and I’d like to think that sometimes I have helped born people stay alive. Oh, and I am a female too. I am no less concerned about non-fetal life than any other person.
About half of the American public identifies as pro-life. I don’t think there are very many stereotypes that accurately apply to half the population (but then again, people do that all the time in stereotyping men vs. women so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised).
Some people have so bought into the marketing propaganda of the abortion industry that they can’t even imagine that reasonable people can disagree about abortion, or that a reasonable person might think poorly of things like Kermit Gosnell’s house of horrors.
“Abortion industry slogans”? Please, tell me how that phrase is any different from someone labeling the pro-life side as “anti-choice”.
OTOH, some people are so befuddled by anti-choice blithering that they think Gosnell is a useful example of what pro-choicers want. Seriously - being anti-abortion because of Kermit Gosnel is like being anti-organ donation because of Jack the Ripper.
I was nodding along until you mentioned Gosnell. Then the whole post seemed super dumb. ![]()
If you don’t like being insulted by the other side, perhaps you shouldn’t compare the people who want safe abortions with that monster. Just a thought.
So many? You practically have to unload them with a pitchfork.
