I’m waiting for the new Pearl Jam to be released (I heard one was coming out, not sure though). I’m waiting more for them to tour though, them and STP.
We must blame them and cause a fuss before somebody thinks of blaming us.

The new Steely Dan is out next month, and I’m quite looking forward to that.
The single, “What a Shame About Me” is getting a lot of play on Smooth Jazz and AC stations. Fagen’s voice(such as it is) has not worn well, but otherwise it sounds exactly like their old stuff. Which is as it should be I haven’t heard the other single, “Captain Dupree,” which is out at Adult Alternative stations. Has anyone heard it?

I’m dreading the forthcoming new album from those Oasis brats. Really, how pompous and self-absorbed can you be when your band sucks and nobody can understand a word you’re saying when you talk.
These guys actually think they’ll be bigger than the Beatles. Good luck, goobers.
I’m looking forward to the latest, and sadly the last, Morphine CD, out next month
More Dick’s Picks!
More from the Vault!

DMB is now releasing a new live cd every six months. As “Listener Supported” just came out, I am awaiting the next live album around June/July. These guys are the best live band out there. Oh, and hey more “Dicks Picks” would be cool too. Dead rules. Nuff’ said.
“Solos Dios basta” . . . but a little pizza won’t hurt.
Radiohead !!!
U2 has new material coming out this summer. That’s the only album which I am anticipating in particular; any further albums I purchase would be based more on “hmmm… sounds good on the radio, maybe I will buy it.”
Count me in on enjoying the Steely Dan antici…pation. (whew!)
Cat, the song you’re thinking of is Cousin Dupree, and I think it’s a lot better than What a Shame About Me… REALLY looking forward to hearing the whole album!

How about a kiss for your Cousin Dupree?
How about a kiss for your Cousin Dupree?”

I’m STILL waiting for ? & the Mysterians to do a followup album (to “96 Tears”).

I have been anticipating George Harrison’s new album (last heard to be titled "Portrait of a Leg End). Was supposed to have been released in February, but it may have been pushed back after the stabbing.
Oooh, sounds very cool! Thanks, Story; I thought I might have the name wrong. I may have to start listening to the local Ad. Alt. station until I hear it. The album is coming out 2/29; I have my advance order in on Amazon!

I haven’t heard the new Yes album yet, either. I need to pick that one up. BTW, CF, as our resident Rush fan do you know when their next album is due?
Marilyn Manson’s newest, In the Valley of the Shadow of Death, should be out sometime in the summer; I hope it’s better than his last work.
NIN should be in town in a couple months. Yay!

New Smashing Pumpkins, which is supposed to get back to the loud guitars and drums that I like by them and away from the electronica tack they were taking on “Adore.”
Heard a sneak preview of some of the songs live when they played St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit last spring, and they were great. (The Pumpkins in a small club was ‘The Shit’ in general.)
Too bad about D’Arcy leaving the band, though.

Yeah, I’m with ChiefScott on that call. Why the hell is that fuckin’ Phil taking so long between Vault releases? And when’s the next Dick’s Picks?
Aside from that, I’ll just wait and see what old jazz albums are being re-released. And if there’s gonna be any new recordings from Sir Simon Rattle before he takes over the Berlin.
Man, I should really start listening to some people who are still alive…

Gabriel - Dave’s got a studio album coming out in the spring, too. I can’t wait til it comes out, I love him live. The rare stuff is the best. www.cynosure.com
