Any Chicago Fire fans? A quick question please

So I just started watching CF. I’m on about ep 5 of season 1.

Over all I like it. I’m enjoying the rescue scenes, and the drama ain’t bad either.

One thing that is really annoying the hell out of me, and frankly NOT something I would expect from a Dick Wolf production, is the gratuitous sex scenes. There seems to be at least one per episode. It’s cliché and adds nothing to the story.

So is this going to be a thing throughout the series?

FTR, I’m not a prude, I don’t mind sex scenes when they make sense. But jeez, just to have one for the sake of getting eyeballs to the screen is annoying.

The Chicago Fire is a mediocre soccer team in a town that doesn’t care about soccer. Hence no response to your query.

Season one? Wow! So long ago. Perhaps they were titillating to attract an audience , ratings, and a renewal.

Hint - Don’t sweat it. The real fire is in the story-lines.

IIRC, Chicago Fire only lasted one season, in 1974. The World Football League was just not meant to be.

They must scale back on them because I watch the show regularly and I don’t notice them much anymore. And they’re usually something that gets an eyeroll out of me.

Apparently this is about a TV show and not Mrs. O’Leary’s cow.

What TriPolar said. I’ve been thinking about that since late last night.

We watch all of the Chicagos (Fire, Med & PD) and love them. They’re some of the very few shows my husband and I BOTH like.

Like Duckster said, season 1 was a long time ago. I don’t think there are very many sex scenes now - just once in a while. Stick with it, the show gets better as it goes along. I suggest you start watching Med and PD too!

I concur.
